How many league goals will Haaland score this season?

You can never tell what the end tally is, he's capable of banging in 10 goals over 3 or 4 games

I'm pretty stunned he's kept up his roughly goal per game ratio in England, or bettered it. I fully expected it to drop off a bit and would've been happy for him to get 25 league goals as its usually good enough for a golden boot most years.

But then he's got a similar ratio at international level for a pretty mediocre team, so that says something.

More goals than games in the premier league Is pretty much unheard of though. Look at Suarez and Ronaldo, they were doing that in Spain but not in the Premier league.

So it really proves the level he's operating on. Breaking records all over the place and still very young.

He will go down as one of the footballing greats providing he stays fit and healthy

Who gives a shite if he isn't beating 4 players with nifty footwork. Dozens of players in every league can do that. Nobody is doing what Haaland is right now.

Its unbelievable to think he still has room for improvement (his and Peps words) and that we will develop better strategies to make use of his particular skillset.

Our corners were certainly better on Tuesday, hopefully the result of the new set piece coach. Erling was certainly far more physical - as he was against Arsenal and he creates absolute mayhem. Was the RBL defence far inferior to the usual PL standard? I didn't think so but we were more effective in the penalty box than usual. More direct, quicker and more physical.

Could become the first player since Dixie Dean to score 50 goals in a season for an English team
Not so. Terry Bly scored 52 league goals for Peterborough in 1960-61, and I believe 54 in all matches. It was thePosh's first season in the FL and they scored goals for fun, mainly thanks to Mr Bly. I admit, though, it wasn't in the top tier of the FL.

Strangely, no one seems to recall Terry Bly these days. Dixie Dean did of course score 60 goals in a league season in Div One, for Everton. He later ran a pub in Chester called the Dublin Packet, and hated the sobriquet "Dixie", preferring the forename "Billy" (as he was christened William Ralph).
