How many league goals will Haaland score this season?

Were any bookies offering odds on him breaking Dean's record mate? Must've been some tasty odds if they were! Looking at the number of games we have left minimum and assuming this injury isn't serious then it's certainly doable
Unless he gets another two or three hat tricks, I can't see him doing it. And he almost definitely not play in all our remaining games anyway. If we fluke our way to Istanbul, the likelihood is that he'd be wrapped in cotton wool in the league games in the run up, particularly if the chances of us reeling in Arsenal are remote.

The way things are lined up at the moment, we can only rest him with the games won. He'll be starting all of them if fit. Pep is all about rhythm and consistency, I doubt he'll play a weakened team ahead of the CL final.

And risk the likes of Haaland, Rodri, Kev or Ruben getting injured? I'm not so sure.

If we get to the FA Cup final it's a week before the CL final and there's no chance any of those players are rested. Maybe Kev is out of the starting 11 due to form, but they're all likely to start. We tend to look much better playing regularly. When we had a week break we didn't look any better for it this season. Players can get injured in training, you can't wrap them in cotton wool sadly. And rhythm and confidence is key. I don't think there's any benefit to players sitting games out and sweating over the CL final, it only adds to the nerves and tension.

I hope you're right, I really do. I'd love to see him having a real good go at Dean's record. Time will tell, I guess.

It will be incredibly difficult for him to break that record, it's truly staggering. Messi's 70 in 63 games is mindblowing as well. He got 50 league goals in 37 games that season. Regardless of La Liga being easier that's insane.

24 goals in 18 games for Haaland to break the record (subject to my poor maths). He's got a chance considering he's scored 8 in his last two! If he does another 8 in his next 2 games he'll be up to 50 and then it's a goal a game all the way to the treble to break it. He'll know the record and he'll want it.

His interview with Shearer showed how focussed he was. He had a number of goals in mind but wouldn't share it. Many were thinking it would be 30 but he definitely will have wanted to break Salah's 32 in 38 and probably Shearer and Cole's 34 in 42 games in the league. He'll probably be thinking of the 40 goal mark now.

On current form he needs only to play for 60 mins.
