How many more people will now become City fans?

City's biggest problem was the sad reality that even when United were relegated in 1974, the vast majority of their fanbase had grown-up with the Busby Babes and George Best, and subsequently they always had the numbers, regardless of whether City had overtaken them on the pitch.

United's biggest problem is the sad reality that the generation who attended both the 1957 and 1977 FA Cup Finals, (and were probably only in their late 30s/early 40s when Ferguson arrived at Old Trafford) are now becoming marginalised and will soon be irrelevant.

If the current trend continues then ultimately there will be a shift so huge that even the media will start to take notice.

I reckon a good 70% (arbitrary figure) wouldn't even know who cuntona was now let alone the mythical figures of the walking liver Best or the best player ever imagined Duncan Pele Edwards.

After this treble and finally winning the Champions League on Saturday being shown all around the world, will we see a increase in fans in overseas countries, making us even bigger.
Great to see so many people with City shirts around the UK and abroad. Even other teams are wearing light blue as their second or third strip.

We are building nationally & internationally.

IMO,it's important that the club show some recognition and more consideration to long serving fans and regular fans.

The club has the data to be able to reward/discount ticket prices for deserving categories of fans for example.

A little recognition will be hugely appreciated and paint the club in a better light.

We're not doing too bad considering all the negative media coverage the club gets.
Good to hear they're still plenty of people out there ignoring the negative BS.

Just pottering around Leamington Spa, every outlet has City merchandise some to the exclusion of united. The media are like Canute, helpless to turn back the tide.

Been working in Nottingham and couldn’t make game last night but 3 lads on site asked me if I still have my ticket as they would love to go and see us also there kids are City mad
