How many points to win the league?

United won't get more than 86 points in my opinion. 86 points means they'll have to win 11 of their last 13 games.

To get 86 points we just need to win 6 out of 13 games.

I’m fuming as I just saw the Stoke away match was moved to 12 March, the day I fly out of Manchester. That means I not only will not be able to see it at Bet365, as planned, but it will be the first match in 3 years that I will not be able to watch at all (before that the streak was 8 years).

Even worse, I half expect us to effectively win the league that day (I know, it is crazy expectation, but it is possible if United and Chelsea continue to struggle)—if we do I am going to be extremely happy and also extremely sad that I missed out.

As of now, 93 points guarantees it. But starting to look like 86-87 could easily be enough.

It might end up lower than that as teams are fighting for their lives towards the end of the season and strange results crop up.

I think it could actually go as low as 82 needed. 2 losses and 2 draw in the last 13 games is certainly not beyond the realms of possibility for United. They struggle against the better sides and have slipped up against lesser sides.

We may only need 5 wins in 13 to get this. Obviously 8 would do it, 7 if we beat united. But that’s assuming they win every game, which they won’t.

We still have Swansea, Brighton, Huddersfield at home too which should be 9 of them!

We can debate the number of wins required till the cows come home, but the bottom line is this league is won. It's over. I know we're not allowed to say it, but it is. This side is not losing 7 or 8 out of 13 games.

We have a condition called Cityitis and it cannot be cured even by a shark team.

Not with Pep in charge.

Indeed. Cityitis is a hard illness to shake off though. Even at 2-0 up last night I was like “not sure taking De Bruyne off this early is a good idea and Diaz is a young lad” etc etc. It’s ingrained into the older ones!

Pep knew West Brom weren’t coming back into to regardless of what he did.

This team expects to win every game and it shows. I have never seen a more confident side
