We shouldn't get too cocky, as today has shown, a few off days, bad refereeing decisions, injury to a few key players could cost us the league regardless of how well we've performed so far.

In our next four fixtures we have Watford, Newcastle and West Brom all at home. Nine points from those would certainly go a long way.
Hopefully in the next set of fixtures, Arsenal and Everton can take points off of Chelsea and united respectively to make things a little easier.Agree if we can get a draw at anfield as well - that will be 10 points. Take us to 69 and 7 wins needed from 13 games to guarantee it.

What a stupid and selfish statement.But we will be playing those matches without Kev, arguably our player of the season so far. Very possibly without the creative genius of Merlin too ... I don't wish to intrude on his personal issues, but it would be nice if the club could give us some guidance on potential duration of his absence. Also without Jesus. And long-term absentee Mendy.
Games become alot less winnable if our most creative players are simultaneously unavailable. 14 points is a brilliant lead, but I don't take anything for granted. No room for complacency or presumption of wins. Odds are still in our favour, but less overwhelmingly than before the two key injuries at Palace yesterday.

Put it this way though, as our nearest challenger even if they were to go the rest of the season matching our form of 2.81 points per game they would finish on 92 points, Given that our form is record breaking it is very unlikely for this to happen. This is 48 points from a possible 51, even if they did this we would need just 33 points from the 51 remaining to match them. Every time that Chelsea or the rags drop points the task gets easier for us .
Seriously if we fuck this up from here then Pep needs sacking :)
