How many points to win the league?

The most points any of the others can achieve is 89 (rags - ten to play, 30 +59).

That means, as it stands, we need a maximum of 12.

Liverpool are on 60, and the most they can get is 87, so we need another 10 to ensure they can’t catch us either.

Admittedly, I’ve not looked at what we need relative to the Scousers before, but with the 'istree derby coming up next Saturday, the points needed might be in single figures very soon.

If United beat or draw with Liverpool then we need 3 wins (one of which is the derby) and we win it.

If those 3 wins are our next 3 game then we win it at the final whistle in the derby (should United not lose to Liverpool).

We need the scousers to drop at least 2 points between now and the derby otherwise we cannot win it on derby day

This. If the result stays as it is tonight, I want united to win on Saturday . Gives us margin for error in the next three games as 7 points from 9 will win us the league vs united.

For all intents and purposes yeah that will be it unless there was a miraculous goal difference turn around in the last 6 games

It ain’t gonna happen but until it’s mathematically impossible to catch us we can’t be crowned champions
