How many points to win the league?

In their last 7 games in all competitions they've drawn 5 and won 2. Fair play to them they've only conceded two goals, but they've clearly shown they're bottling it a bit. Don't see why people think they will suddenly string together 9 wins?

On current form, we could have it wrapped up with a few games to go!

We still have zero wriggle room. I still have the suspicion that we have a poor result or two in us. Coupled with the possibility that the scousers could return to form, it makes for a tense finish. I don't think they can manage 9 wins but I don't think we can either. Mid nineties for me.

I am going to say with a fair degree of certainty that we will drop points between now and the end of the season. Given if we won the every game (I think) we would break last season's record of winds on the trot, which is unrealistic given the stage of the seasons and we are still in 2 cups

That said, they do not look like a team that is ready to string 5-9 wins together over the next few weeks. If they win 6, draw one and lose 1 that puts them on 89. I can't see them losing but I can see them drawing a few whereas I can see us losing 1(maybe 2) but winning the rest

It's going to be very, very tight

I could see Liverpool winning all 9 games. I know they’re on a wobble but think there will be less pressure on them in second place. Would be great for them to drop more points before we play Spurs and Rags to give us some breathing room. After Newcastle thought we had to win every game to have any chance that may still be the case.

There's less pressure when you're 7/10 pts clear. It's well on top now. The pressure is the same whether first or 2nd.
There's either pressure or there isn't.

With 9 games left including Spurs and Chelsea at home I can see Liverpool winning 7 and at best drawing the other 2. 93pts.

For us that's 7 wins, a draw and a defeat to match them.

That is still tough for us with our remaining away games. Only Fulham away looks easy on paper. Palace, Burnley, United, Brighton away...tough.

Just need to keep winning and hope Liverpool slip up. Ideally Burnley get a result after we hopefully beat Watford. Open up a 3pt gap and then when they play and we are in the cup we stay top.

For me there are three big games in April that will decided if we retain the title. If we can get max points against Palace, Spurs & Utd then I feel that will get us over the line.

I think we might win the league at Old Trafford.

It would need Liverpool to drop 6 points against Burnley, Fulham, Tottenham, Southampton, Chelsea & Cardiff.

While we would have to beat Watford, Fulham, Cardiff, Palace and Spurs.
