It's not over by a long stretch, thankfully, Pep will know the same.

We have Spurs, Everton, Arsenal and West Ham coming up before United.

There are still games to come at home to Chelsea and Everton.

Got to go to Leicester, Brighton and Crystal Palace.

All our form suggests otherwise, but they are all games we can easily lose or draw in.

No doubt United and Leicester will also lose games, but they are very good playing under no pressure, so we need to keep doing our own job.

Forget all the plaudits, just focus.

Win all our home games left and take it from there.

Kev coming back will be huge for us.

Swansea first though, please.

The Rags were never in the title race , the media put them there , Southampton arent playing well the last couple of games but they are still organised enough to beat that rabble tonight , Southampton have manager who can put a plan into action , the paperboy just throws names in a hat to pick his teams.
If the Rags get to 70 points (win 10 of their last 17 games) i would be amazed
i use the unread button to trawl through the different threads, when i clicked on this thread just now this was the first post that popped up lol

Never understand the media obsession with handing out the Premier League trophy in December, January, February etc. Happens every year as sure as night follows day. All that nonsense spoke between Roy Keane, Souness and Micah last night.

Fast forward to the Spurs game build up next Saturday at 17.00. Tottenham can throw a spanner in the works (which they can). But after the game, if City win we all have to agree that it’s all over.

Rinse and repeat until it’s mathematically impossible or the team in front blows up.

IF we win next weekend.

The leagues far from over, we have 3 months of games left to play

We clearly haven't won anything as of yet this season. However the table don't lie... the title is currently 'ours to lose', which is a great position to be in and not one I thought would be the case after the result at Spurs in November. But therein lies the lesson - things can change and quickly.

All we've won so far is some (deserved) admiration.

Pep will just keep the focus on one game at a time.

I think you mean 'grudging' admiration ;)

We must be the only team in world football in the last three seasons to hit Liverpool for 5-0, 4-0 and 4-1, and they still try to find excuses.

Add it to a Community Shield win and penalty misses from both Mahrez and KDB, and this fixture has increasingly become a mis-match.

Thing is yesterday’s result will send a massive message out that city are back.
We’ve beat united, Chelsea and Liverpool away with ease lately and I think other teams are best before the game now like a few years ago
Spurs will be shitting themselves right now, they would take a 2-0 defeat right away.
As long as we (The plasters) don’t think like that we’ll be ok

We owe a spurs a right going over after recent years. No doubt we will have 372 shots and score none, 45 of them ruled out by VAR and then they will win it with a Richard Dunne own goal in the last minute.

Most of the admiration I was referring to comes from our own supporters and I'm not sure some of that is given begrudgingly but I do think City and Pep get far less acknowledgement from the wider world than they deserve. And in the regard there is too much focus on the fact that we have not won the UCL, so it would be good to get that out of the way this year.

The most frustrating thing for me is the suggestion Liverpool have been the greatest ever team for the past three seasons and this is probably to be expected. They've won the CL and the league since Klopp has been there. Two trophies. Meanwhile we've won the league back-to-back with record points and added the league cup three years in a row and the FA Cup in one of those seasons to be the first side to win the domestic treble. Last year was our blip. This year is standard Liverpool. Record points, record goals, record wins. Liverpool had a very good season last year but it's not in any record books. And the season before that they had an even better one but, oh yes, we still beat them.

Win the league this year and that's three in 4 years and five in 10 years.

Focus on the next game, this seasons been so random i can see someone else going top again (I hope i am wrong)
I don't think any other team is capable of stringing 5 or more wins together at the moment. They're all too inconsistent. Leicester and United both drawing ahead of our game vs Liverpool showed the lack of character and desire in those squads. Liverpool will struggle to win 10 games between now and the end of the season.

Obviously we have to focus on the next game to get through in the cup. If we manage that, (which won't be easy as Swansea are playing very well recently) and manage to navigate past Monchengladbach we'll be looking very good for winning multiple pots this year.
