Think people also forgetting United are also still in Europe and likely to progress, plus they got an extra league game than us....so even though we are in the Cups we'll roughly play the same amount of games

I prefer our depth to theirs

Even if we were level on points right now I'd fancy us

Also no guarantee United will capitalise on their game in hand, which is the beauty of not having a game in hand the points have already been secured

I wonder if that’s the reason why Leicester were evens but united were 50/1 when I looked in yesterday.

Agree with that point with the caveat that United would play Roma/Ajax, not Bayern/PSG. IF we reach the CL semis, the energy demands on both teams vs Bayern/PSG and Roma/Ajax respectively would be quite different. Here our 8-point cushion and Pep's ability to rotate will hopefully serve us well.

It will probably get a bit twitchy though. The ride's going to be wild, IF we beat both Dortmund and Chelsea. Bring it on!

IF we beat Dortmund and Chelsea, people will get a bit more relaxed wrt the league. A CL tie with PSG/Bayern will be something to look forward plus a FA Cup final. Big week this! Most important since the start of the season?

Would you say that the difference between Roma/Ajax squads to those Bayern/PSG has is somewhat like comparing United’s squad to City’s? Or are they now man for man equal to us as well across the whole 25 players?

The twitchy bottoms will twitch no matter what ...

A CL semi against Bayern or PSG would not make me excited at all! I bloody hate the CL, I'm behind the sofa for most of the game. I'm one of what seems a few, that would love City to win the CL so we can parade it in front of those fuckers at UEFA.

I don't think the opposition really makes a difference when you're in a semi final though. It still takes a lot of mental/physical effort. The rags are shite. Pressure is off in the league. If there's a chance they could win it, then the pressure mounts and they'll drop points again.

It happens every time. Ole is on the brink of getting sacked for bottling it in a big game or competition and then they go on a great run and everyone thinks they're back to the big time. Then they get another big game and bottle it again.

If anyone was worried about Everton winning all their games ;-) tonight they drew.

Only the top5 can win it now.
Feel a bit for the Toffee's, looked nailed on to finish above their Red Scum neighbours but probably gonna get "robbed" now

Maybe I'm putting too much faith in Klopp, but beating United and getting top 4 could turn a disastrous season into an acceptable one. If they do, that's 2 wins and a draw. A point against Leeds would have made it much easier, but we'll be fine/
