How many points will be needed to win the league? (74 GD)

If United win tomorrow there's very little chance Pep is fielding a weakened team in the next league match and allow the possibilty of the lead to go to 5 points, certainly not another seven changes.

Regardless of whether we're in the Champions League or not

Maybe not as weak as today but if we do beat Dortmund, the next seven games would be: CL Quarter-Final 2nd leg, FA Cup Semi-Final, Villa, League Cup Final, CL Semi-Final 1st leg, Crystal Palace and CL Semi-Final 2nd leg with only two or three days between all of them.

Pep has talked a few times about it being impossible to play three times in a week at a high level so the league games are really the only chance we've got to rest players.

Anyway, we need to get past Dortmund first and hopefully United will drop some points in the next few weeks and then there's less pressure on our league results.

I think people are forgetting that we played a weakened team against Fulham and Leicester too, and we won those. Nobody complained about the match selection after those results.

Today we were unlucky, it happens.

Madrid played full team v Barça and pulled their 3 most important players on 70 mins when they'd done the damage and won the game with 2nd leg at Klanfield in mind

that was a 6 pointer, completely different to us playing a mid-table team with an 11 point cushion at the top of the league

that’s why today was a big mistake from pep? Made far too many changes in one go and expected out of form players or players who haven’t played for a while to come together and just perform?

Looking at that set of fixtures I really wish we'd won the derby and put a further six points of daylight between us. It would've allowed us to coast the final league games instead of gifting the scum a title race.

I think Spurs will get a draw today vs United, so the maximum amount of points United can reach is 82. That means City needs 8 points to win a league (superior goal difference) or 9 points clear win.
