-- The Premier League is vital to both the club and us fans.
-- The Champions League us vital to the club (and its future ambitions / growth) and to some of us fans.
-- The cups are nice and a great day out (in non-covid times, anyway) but less important.
Pep is trying to manage all of the above to reach the best conclusion.
What is open to question is whether this really requires changing 7 or 8 players every game ? No other team seems to do this, even when they are still in every competition ... and there is the danger that it disrupts things and damages confidence.
