How many trophies will we win?

I honestly cannot predict how this season ends... I suspect we'll beat Dortmund. But Chelsea in the cup is really tough. A 50/50 for me. Spurs the same.

No striker has been the best of City in big games against Liverpool and United. Sterling Foden and Mahrez have been the front 3 each time iirc. I'd be tempted to stick Foden left, Mahrez right and have Jesus in atm.

If you HAD to pick one scenario

A United hunt us down and we win it on the last day by a point by beating Everton 1.0 in the last minute

B We score in the last minute to beat Real and lift our 1st champions league

A although its not a guarantee that it will end like it did in 2012

A. Been there, done that!

B. Bring it on ... and it better be Aguerooooooo scoring that winner, whether he comes off the bench or starts!

Some of you need to have a bit more ambition. I won’t be satisfied with just the league and the carabao cup. This team has the opportunity to do something no English team has ever done. We’ll never be in this position again.
You are just setting up yourself for disappointment. PL + LC is amazing season by any standards. Domestic treble is greatness and European Cup to boot is historic (quadruple).

In football never say never also, who though 2 years ago that we would be in this position in 2 years?

Quadruple has never been done and for a reason. Odds are extremely slim.

Mbappe single handedly for example can crush our quad dreams with just couple of chances.

Yes we need to go for it. I will be more than amazed if it happens. I want the Chumps League though now. Get it off the list. It's the final frontier. Then it's cigar time.

In order for that to happen we need numerous factors that need to go in out favour, and in the game against Leeds there were no sugestions that would happen. I would be happy with another domestic treble.

You wouldn’t be satisfied if we won a league and cup in the same season? So only a treble (or more), which are very rarely ever done in this country, can satisfy you?

You say we won’t be in this position again but we’ve had decent chances at it in 18, 19 and 21. No team in any country has ever won the quadruple because they either don’t have a league cup or it’s just as impossible to do there than it is here.

We’re only a matter of a few wins away from winning the quadruple. We won’t get in this position for a long time, if ever. You say we’ve been in this position before, but haven’t. 17/18 we got knocked out by Wigan in the FA Cup early on so we wasn’t close to doing it then. 18/19 we were in a tight title race with Liverpool so we didn’t get the opportunity to rest our players for the cup competitions.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ll be happy to see us win our third title in four years and our fourth league cup on the bounce. But I want to see us win more than that, I want it all. Hopefully the players and Pep have the same mentality.

The champions league will be the one that catches us out I think though. Another domestic treble would be nice. Just wish we could break our European Cup duck.

I like your optimism. I just can’t see it no matter how much the media talk it up. A clean sweep of trophies? Dortmund could put an end to it on Wednesday if Haaland gets any decent service. Imo we are in a very precarious position and will need (a) lot of luck (b) fair referring & (c) Big players to step up.

I don’t think we are any closer to winning the quad compared to say 4 months ago. As I say, I do like your optimism tho so fair play.

I think your ambitions are set to low. Like I said earlier, Pep and the players won’t have the same negative mentality.

With Tottenham losing today, they'll be up for their one chance at a trophy this season. Only one game. This game should not have been moved to April. We were bang on form at the time it is normally played.
Could have a detrimental effect on our season should it not end well given the timing, rather than give us belief and momentum had we already wrapped it up.
And for what? 8k at Wembley? No thanks.
