Yes it would be lovely but we aren't at that stage yet.
Not enugh pulling power or appeal - all we can offer is a big fat dobbing sack of cash and a "project"
What we need to be looking for is Decent Solid Experience to take us top 6 or higher by next summer.
THEN we can peruse the shelves of shiney new SUPERSTARS.
SPOT ON. we are just not a big name in world terms yet, we know what a great club we are but top internationals are not interested.
The likes of Barry and good players who will move us forwards and hit the ground running in the PL are the best we can hope for.

Whats the point in making this thread, the club shouldnt be looking at briniging any world superstar to the club, it should be trying to strenghen the posistions we need strengthening in. If we need a world class striker, which we do, it helps if one is on the market but if not, we have to make do. What is the point in looking at the likes of Kaka, Frank ribery when we have ireland and robinho, who can play on the wing, im not saying irleand is kaka but we should only get players who will benifit us on the pitch. x

I think we must have tried most the top players and the answer has been no so we must face the fact we are not yet in the league to sign the big stars we all expected
And look toward signing some players that will get us to the next level IE Barry but please no rsc
Grafters like Crouch Johnson Lescott all English and over the next few years will take us upward and enjoy watching us work teams to death this is the way we must start our rise to the top

Anyone else think that Bastian Schweinsteiger would be a great buy? He's not a massive name but fantastic at club and international level. Think he could give us what Elano can't at the moment, and could be one of the dark horses in the premiership.
