Anyone who measures their love/devotion to their other half in monetary terms is an arse.
Whilst I see your point, why spend £50, why spend anything?
See Bluetonium's post ;-)

But could be alot compared to others too. Just seemed odd to put the amount you spent, then say its arsey to measure your love in monetary terms. I've spent £200 anyway, which means I love my mrs 3 times more than you do. ;-)Bugs Bunny said:Pigeonho said:Could be one of the most contradictory posts ever?
I bet £50 is fuck all compared to most. It's a token gift in a way. I get annoyed at people who think they need to spend a fortune on their other half & their kids in a pathetic attempt to prove how much they love them or how good a spouse/parent they are.

Noticed now :)
Ok then, question. If you spent your £50, and your mrs spent £200 and told you. Would you go out and spend more? If not, would you feel guilty at the difference you had spent?
Outstanding comeback! I've had enough of this xmas to be honest, its gone on, (the buying of the kids' presents and the planning etc), since September and is probably the most pressured one yet. Alot of it is down to me, as I insist on cooking for families left right and centre, but as it approaches its like, 'for fuck sake, can't wait to take this fucking tree down now!'. Will feel different on Xmas Eve when i've not got to work for 5 days.Bugs Bunny said:Pigeonho said:But could be alot compared to others too. TBH, I wouldn't argue with you on that one ;-)
Mind you, I've spent about the same as you on your Mrs too :-)
