If Navas is fit, Navas plays for me.
The reason I say that is because teams simply can't press us in the same way if Navas is in the team because it only takes that one ball over the top and nobody is catching him. He's technically better than Milner in a wide role because he can commit defenders by dribbling at them, his movement is stunning in terms of how he catches defenders flat footed by making them think he's coming for a short pass and then spinning to run in behind and at the end of it all there's an end product because he generally tries picking out a man with the cross instead of just putting it into a dangerous area and hoping for the best like Milner.
I also think people will be surprised by his stamina and ability defensively, by that I mean closing people down and cutting off passing options which is absolutely paramount to Pellegrini's tactics and the teams use of a high defensive line. To be fair though Milner is the master at this but I don't think Navas is by any means less capable. The way I see it is if you're 2-1 up with 5 minutes to go defending for your lives at the Bernabeu like last season who would you want on the pitch and for me it would be Navas all day long because Marcelo can't push forward like he did that night if Navas is there.
Attack is the best form of defensive.
