I thought he deserved red for that and even if you say his eyes are on the ball i dont think that is true, as he misses the ball completely. Gerrard is facing the ball, but whether his eyes are on the ball then that is a different question.

as i said in a earlier thread, how come on bbc their was no ade type statement read out lineker, you jug eared tit, he said ( STEVIE led with his elbow so i think a yellow was right) no whitch hunt no proper mention, only in passing?

He either committed a red card offence, or there's no booking at all, surely?

Didn't Thatcher only get a yellow originally though? Then it was reviewed and 'upgraded' even though the ref had seen it and dealt with it at the time.
