How quick were those ball boys last night !

The difference is the use of multi ball system, Why dont premier league employ this system, cuts down on time wasting. The uefa refs dont play extra last night first half 1 min inc 1 sub, second half 5 subs but only 3 mins.

It's all that boggled eyed twat Moyes fault.

He was using it against the rags, Everton scored and there was footage of all the balls being collected up and not used in the game any more. League thought it was unfair and banned it.

For me it makes the game so much better to watch, we used it to great effect under SP, looked 10 times worse when it was banned.

Multiball is very good, and should be in the prem - as someone pointed out, may well have contributed to our winning last night. At least though whilst its banned we need to find a way of getting our ballboys to sit in front of advertising, as theyre just too slow. Cant we camoflage them or summat?

Certainly helps, especially when we are trying to up the tempo and really 'have a go' at teams.

Otherwise it is far to easy to teams to regain shape.

It may seem trivial, but if it helps us by 1%, its 1% worth having.

It takes that long for Joe to make his mind up about what to do the ball boys being quick is wasted.

i thought the speed of the ball boys in munich, put us under real pressure, it was as if we have never played with multi balls before.

most throw ins our players had there backs to the thrower :(

good to see we used it to our advantage yesterday :D

I use to ballboy as a lad and found it great fun. Platt Lane S.O.E (pre Academy to new/uninformed fans) lads use to get to ballboy at Maine Road

Anybody know if Derek Calderbank is still with City? Still alive? He was a scout and in charge of ballboys at Maine Road.

I can't be the only one thinking of this

MULTIBALL MADNESS!!!!

There should be a minimum amount of time for a football match. We get the likes of Schwarzer and every bloody goalie who thinks that after two minutes they can go for a Guinness Book of Records entry for wastin' the most time. It's the one think that pisses me off as much as a Ginger Pig last minute winner - well, nearly as much!

I've discussed this with my mates before. I think on average, during a 90 minute match, the ball is in play for about 60 minutes. There's half an hour of players rolling around, the ball being in the stand, referees talking to players, refs booking players, substitutions, players taking their time over free kicks and corners, goal celebrations, players swarming round the ref, injuries, etc, etc, etc. So i agree, a "ball-in-play" clock would be a good idea. Don't think it would be 90 minutes of ball in play though, as that would take 2 hours and 15 minutes!
