How soon does Guardiola takeover?

Ric has just posted that Pep and Arteta are due in this week to start planning etc.
Arteta is a really curious one, isn't it! I can't say I've ever really paid attention to any interviews he did etc. Has he come across to anyone as being someone that understands tactics and can coach them? Genuine question, not knocking him. All that springs to mind is him 'ending' our title challenge!

He won't come until he is done at Bayern. The transfer stuff is no doubt being done behind closed doors and it isn't like Txiki has to be in Manchester every day. I'd say unofficially he will start the day after the last Bayern match but officially training does not start until July. No doubt he will be moving his family to Manchester and all that business between now and then.

Pellegrini's '1st day' video was in July.

Here's not here yet is he. You may be right, but I'd be surprised. IMHO he's going to have us playing like Barca in about 5 games, and they are going to look very stupid indeed.

By the way, this is more than simple blind faith on my part. I think we have some truly outstanding players in our side, who have been performing woefully below their potential. With 2 or 3 top quality additions, and a renewed confidence, combined with someone who can actually COACH and who has tactical nouse to burn, and I think we are going to be awesome.

Can't
Fucking
Wait

not much to go off but:

bit of an amusing one:

nice video showing he's had good experiences and a good philosophy on youth football:

Clearly got a good head on his shoulders and Pep likes him so that's enough for me.

For the first 5 matches of this season we were playing like Barca.

Be the same football high line pressing football, Major difference will preparation work rate and mainly players working there bollocks off of the ball..

He's already being described by one hack as a "one trick pony" The vitriol from the media next year will go up a level imo.
Well of course. He's never won the Champions League with Grimsby Town, so how could he be considered the best in the world?

I was watching some prick of a journalist the other day claiming that he'd took the "easy option" by going to City instead of United. Funny he didn't follow through on the logic of his easy option argument and demand that he take over Bournemouth or Sunderland.

In reality a "start date" is just for the formalities of his contract. I imagine he's been working on City stuff for a while now.

Not sure when he will have his 1st meeting with the players - but they should film that!

"Good mornign everyone. Im going to read some names, if your name comes up, kindly fuck off.....Kolarov..."

The end of the season can't come quick enough. I can't wait to see what Pep does to us. I think he's in for a very bumpy ride from the media, they don't like it that he hasn't gone to Trafford. Some of the pre match pressers are going to be a bit volatile. I can't fucking wait.
He's in for no bumpy ride, he manipulates the media better than Mourinho or Ferguson but in a different way. If he thinks someone's talking shit or is disrespecting him he makes them feel uncomfortable.

That's fine in the pressers, but you're underestimating the pettiness, jealousy and sheer vindictiveness of the English press, especially where we are concerned. They'll most likely be meek as fuck in the pressers and then write an article slamming him from the safety of their keyboards. Our press are scum, cowardly vindictive scum. I wouldn't put anything past them.

His family and kids probably will move after July. He will keep his kids in school in Munich until the end of the school year of the international school and that is June 30rd. And I guess his wife will then go on holidays with them or let them at the Grandparents. I doubt that they need to be in Manchester during all the season preparations with the trips you will do, too. I remember that he did it like this in his first year at Bayern, too.

He told that he keeps his appartment as he wants to often return to Munich for some days - so he probably does not have to move any furniture.

Pep's official first day in Munich (and that was after his sabbatical) was June 24th - training started June 26th.
