Currently we don’t have a David Silva (lock picker), a Tevez (just outside box specialist) and an Aguero (lethal from every angle).
Perhaps this year our dynamism lacking, so yeah. But there are low blocks and really low blocks. We’re quick to criticise Palace/Southampton etc but the way we move up the pitch, slowly, stifle the ball, play sidewards passes, try to fatigue teams mentally rather than trying to be proactive is also killing the entertainment.
As Pep always says he does not want a basketball match and that we cannot play that way. The parked bus is what he prefers to face.
What about him using the players he bought in January or didn’t he want them.Perhaps this year our dynamism lacking, so yeah. But there are low blocks and really low blocks.
See how pans out next year if he gets the squad he wants
No idea mate, but we didn’t lose yesterday because khusanov, Reid or nico weren’t on the field. What about him using the players he bought in January or didn’t he want them.
And who would that be, Kushanov looked bloody quick to me but has dropped off the face of the earth, Haaland is much better than hanging round the six yeard box, he’d be great as a counter attacker ball over the top as was shown yesterday had the keeper not knocked it out the way. We do t have anyone who can put a decent cross on his head at the back post, he’d be better around the penalty spot for a pull back or at least running onto it. I still don’t think he was a Pep signing he was a CFG signing, Pep has always like small mobile players something Haaland is clearly not, his first season everyone was taken by surprise even Pep at how many he’s scored and yes I know he’s still scoring but are defences terrified of him, I don’t think so.It's called a parked bus for a reason, you're not supposed to get by one.
The fact City have managed to do it pretty much every week is testament to how great this cycle has been under Pep.
The only 'tactic' to overcome it is exactly what we do, try to move people out of position and hope someone switches off or runs out of steam.
Sure, you can load it into the box or whip a cross in from deeper, when Kev could manage it, but it's not a tactic to set up for prior to a game.
Fact is, we play the law of averages and sometimes you can be on the wrong side of that, like yesterday, Southampton or even Norwich away the other year.
We don't have a striker like Sergio anymore who can work on the front post run or operate with little back lift inside the six yard box.
Haaland's entire MO is to hang out of the six yard box and wait for a pull back which needs to be increasingly precise, because defenders know he needs it out of his feet for such a big unit.
All it needs is an eight and ten who are able to pull the strings and two full-backs who have the raw recovery pace when a move breaks down, like Walker had.
Well said. All this ‘rush up the field’ stuff is useless when their defence is already set up. The last 2 games in particular the opposition have hardly come out of their own half. After their defence is set up the only thing you can do is move the ball around and try and pull the defence out of shape and find a gap. It's called a parked bus for a reason, you're not supposed to get by one.

We will never know thoughNo idea mate, but we didn’t lose yesterday because khusanov, Reid or nico weren’t on the field.
What was the game this season where we stood with the ball in the edge of our box and the opposition didn’t try to press us or try to win the ball back? Why not surprise all teams coming to ours next season we set up with a low block and hit them on the counter once they step over the halfway line let’s see how they like it.
Not sure but we could just pass it among the defenders bit like now only in front of our own boxWhat was the game this season where we stood with the ball in the edge of our box and the opposition didn’t try to press us or try to win the ball back?
