It's fair to say that he has attracted the attention, and what job is it journo's have? To fill columns. Its mind numbingly obvious they are all none-stories, but fill the columns they will. If Balotelli signed for United last summer and did the exact same things he's done whilst being here, there is absolutely no reason why those things wouldn't have been picked up on and used to fill the columns. I can't even class it as 'reporting', because its not. They are tabloid 'stories' and no matter who it is or who he plays for, stories like that will be used to fill those empty columns. As Andy Jacobs says, Balotelli is the gift that just keep on giving. The fact he plays for us is irrelevant though because its Balotelli making those 'stories', not the club. What about when the papers all broke the story about Rooney and his fetish for Hookers? Were the papers arsed aout Fergie then? No, because it was a major story. What about when they mocked Ferdinand for having to stand in the plane, (reportedly, later proved to be bollocks), because they said his back was that gone his career was more or less over? No consideration for Fergie then either. What about Ferdinand donning those shite shorts which made him look gay? Same 'story' printed about Mario last week. People are that obsessed about this none-event 'agenda' they forget that other players and other clubs have none-stories printed about them too. Whether you acknowledge it or not, Mario has not exactly kept his head down since he came here and all these things which happen will continue to be printed in the red tops, because he has done enough on his own to attract the attention in the first place, meaning any kind of story after those early ones will be printed no matter how meaningless they are. Who he plays for has absolutely nothing to do with it, it would be the same if it was United, Liverpool, Madrid or Accrington Stanley for that matter.Gaudino said:Pigeonho said:Why not? Why wouldn't it? I've heard all about the so called agenda on here time and time again, but what possibly could Yahoo gain out of putting an article on Balotelli and a Harley on line, but not the same for Carroll, Torres or Young?
I do believe there is an agenda against our success in someparts of the media. And as such any opportunity to show us in a bad light is used to do so.....chipping away with such 'news' stories is all part of that. As for Carroll, Torres aor Young.....no, I don't believe this would have gotten a mention. But it was Balotelli.....and even you can't argue that that lad gets picked up for every percieved wrong doing and misdemeanour by the media since his arrival at City. It borders on the farcical at times. Any other young players from other clubs get the same treatment, constantly?
Biggest load of shit I've had the misfortune to read on here in a long time but not surprised in the least that you manage to have a pop at one of ours whilst defending the rag media.
You wonder why people question you?
