Why not? Why wouldn't it? I've heard all about the so called agenda on here time and time again, but what possibly could Yahoo gain out of putting an article on Balotelli and a Harley on line, but not the same for Carroll, Torres or Young?

I do believe there is an agenda against our success in someparts of the media. And as such any opportunity to show us in a bad light is used to do so.....chipping away with such 'news' stories is all part of that. As for Carroll, Torres aor Young.....no, I don't believe this would have gotten a mention. But it was Balotelli.....and even you can't argue that that lad gets picked up for every percieved wrong doing and misdemeanour by the media since his arrival at City. It borders on the farcical at times. Any other young players from other clubs get the same treatment, constantly?
But how many players of that age, under his circumstances, (price tag etc), have come over and done the silly things he's done? It's fair to say that he has attracted the attention, and what job is it journo's have? To fill columns. Its mind numbingly obvious they are all none-stories, but fill the columns they will. If Balotelli signed for United last summer and did the exact same things he's done whilst being here, there is absolutely no reason why those things wouldn't have been picked up on and used to fill the columns. I can't even class it as 'reporting', because its not. They are tabloid 'stories' and no matter who it is or who he plays for, stories like that will be used to fill those empty columns. As Andy Jacobs says, Balotelli is the gift that just keep on giving. The fact he plays for us is irrelevant though because its Balotelli making those 'stories', not the club. What about when the papers all broke the story about Rooney and his fetish for Hookers? Were the papers arsed aout Fergie then? No, because it was a major story. What about when they mocked Ferdinand for having to stand in the plane, (reportedly, later proved to be bollocks), because they said his back was that gone his career was more or less over? No consideration for Fergie then either. What about Ferdinand donning those shite shorts which made him look gay? Same 'story' printed about Mario last week. People are that obsessed about this none-event 'agenda' they forget that other players and other clubs have none-stories printed about them too. Whether you acknowledge it or not, Mario has not exactly kept his head down since he came here and all these things which happen will continue to be printed in the red tops, because he has done enough on his own to attract the attention in the first place, meaning any kind of story after those early ones will be printed no matter how meaningless they are. Who he plays for has absolutely nothing to do with it, it would be the same if it was United, Liverpool, Madrid or Accrington Stanley for that matter.

Biggest load of shit I've had the misfortune to read on here in a long time but not surprised in the least that you manage to have a pop at one of ours whilst defending the rag media.

You wonder why people question you?

How is it bollocks? Everything i've put there has happened, so how is it bollocks? Also who have I had a pop at? Gaudino? No, i've answered his question. Balotelli? No, i've stated facts. So go on, how is it 'the biggest load of shite' you've read on here?

What exactly has Balo done wrong?

Pranked about in training? Big fucking deal!

Wore a designer t-shirt? Big fucking deal!

Drove a few flash cars round town? Big fucking deal!

Spunked some cash in the bars, clubs and casino's? Big fucking deal!

Been booked and sent off like many other footballers do? Big fucking deal!

Yet you feel he could have kept his head down and deserves to be dragged through the media for committing the heinous crimes listed above whilst at the same time around the country, hundreds of other young and incredibly rich footballers do the exact same thing yet fuck all gets said?

The reason I put 'stories' in quotes was to highlight that they are nothing, of no interest, non-events. I am not saying they are news-worthy, I am saying journalists use things like that to fill columns, however I notice you conveniently missed out breaking into a prison, (not normal behaviour), off your 'big fucking deal' list. Sorry, but ANYONE who does that WILL then be the target of the press, and whatever minor, insignificant things they do after will be used to fill in those columns in the press. I am not saying they should be printed, if it was another player of another club I wouldn't even pay attention they are that none-events of 'stories', but like Barton for example, the minute any player does something newsworthy, (like breaking into a prison), anything they do after will be printed. It isn't to have a dig at Mario, (do you think he cares?), or the club, (do you think they care?), it is purely to fill in columns in papers and the same would happen no matter who the player was, or who they played for.

Breaking into a prison? They drove through an open gate ffs, were questioned and released without any charges.

Hardly breaking into a fucking prison is it? BIG FUCKING DEAL!

I'm off now to scour the media for stories about the rags worldwide ambassador and their managers links to a dubious far east fund company that promises illegal ownership of English football clubs....

...ooops, silly fucking me!

You've missed his point completely, he's said that none of the Balotelli stories were actually newsworthy, but how are they any different from the reams and reams of stories about Ashley Cole, Rooney, Giggs, Ferdinand, Terry???

Also, the red tops up North run different stories than down south. If you buy the Sun in London it's all about Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs. Up here it's about our clubs. They wouldn't sell many papers nationally if all the stories were about Balotelli's summerware!!! You didn't think that everyone gets the same paper, did you?

Ok, well I can guarantee you now that if Balotelli had done whatever it was he did in that prison but had signed for United, it would have made the papers the same as it did with him playing for us, then the daft things after would have made the papers too. It's what they (the papers) do. That is the only point I was making, nothing more, nothing less. Calm down.

If you buy the Sun in London it's all about Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs.
I live in Kent and you seldom see negative stories about the rags. Trust me on this. All the tabloids around here are full of how bad City are and how we're ruining the game. How Balotelli should have a lifetime ban, how Mancin is out of his depth, etc etc. But at the same get you get stuff like 'Fergie the genius works his magic - yet again.' or 'Once again, Rooney proves beyond doubt that he's the greatest player on earth.'

Most neutral football fans down here feel the same. We're all constantly being force-fed rag propoganda. Seriously, you just don't hear any negativity towards them in Kent.

So they didn't run the Giggs 'scandal' in Kent? Or the Ferdinand's 10 lovers story? Or the Rooney with hookers, hair transplant, swearing ban, son in an Everton kit, smoking on holiday, pissing in a doorway etc etc etc...

Seriously...

I think Pigeonho is a good poster and can see what hes saying and wheres hes coming from but IMO Mario has been a whipping boy for the press. Why? because hes young, black, successful, reputation, signed for "money bags" city, foreign and most importantly different, humans do not like different or something/someone they are not used to.

The red tops and most of the mainstream media is absoulete drivel and they force an opinion on the brain dead masses who read their news religously and believe everything that is written. The opinions in these papers are usually wrote to then reinforce the braindead, rascist muppets opinions.

Mario will show them all up this coming season :)
