how to find someone

The easiest way is to go to a park in Preston, fuck one of the ducks by the lake ensuring you get caught. Then when you are in front of the magistrates tell them you did it to help find your old mate x.
When the Lancashire Evening Post publish your story he is bound to get in touch.......or not.
That didn’t work!
:-(

An old friend of mine used to work for a People Tracing company. One of his "Tricks" was something along these lines -
He would ring around local doctor's surgery asking if they had a patient named whoever. He, the caller was Dr. Smith who needed to pass on important medical information to John Doe's new doctor but he had lost the contact details. To sound authentic, the caller would ask to be called back at "His Surgery" and give the number of a surgery he had looked up.
He would then contact this second surgery, say he was Dr Smith with an appointment later that day but might be delayed. He was expecting an urgent call and had given their number. If he was late, would they mind taking the message and call him on his mobile.
He used a variation on a theme with job centres, N.I. records etc. A bit convoluted but they were serious people tracers.

I’ve tried to find a mate from Poly days for 20 years, sadly his name and surname are very very common.
Anyone with a ‘different’ name is relatively easy to find, if theyve ‘done’ anything of note. Eg found a girl from Poly who’d published a scientific paper- her name was pretty unique.

im looking for an old school freind and was told he had moved to preston, all i have is a name, did a search on 192 and he's listed but that was his old address from 2 years ago, not on facebook or any other social media, is there any other way for free where i might be able to search

The 192?! Get off the party bus and you'll be able to concentrate on finding him.

Committed several breaches of data protection legislation there, possibly including criminal offences

You can search his surname on Facebook and filter the search for Preston which might turn up a family member. Or, if you know someone with an ancestry.com account, you can search marriage records and look for a spouse to search on Facebook etc. If he married before 1993, there's a free site for birth, deaths and marriages https://www.freebmd.org.uk/

Why not put his details on here, we might know him or we could help you find him.
