How to get from Newcastle to Sunderland on NYD?

Cheers for all the replys.
Hopefully will get a few to meet up at the wetherspoons in Newcastle and organise minibus from there.

I may be up for a taxi share/minibus if anything gets sorted. Got a train ticket from Manc-Newcastle and only just found out the North East is a black hole when it comes to local services on NYD. Still tryin to get a match ticket but may just plump for one in their end.
 
2 (possibly 3) of us are looking for travel from Newcastle to Sunderland, I'm up for taxi/car/minibus sharing if anyone has anything
 
Looking at prices online for travel from Newcastle to Sunderland,

4 people taxi will cost around £70
6 people minibus - £135
8 people minibus - £145

Hope we can get something sorted, else I'm walking the 15 miles to Sunderland ;)

Are they standard fares or does it take into account its new years day?
