If Etihad state that they paid it and their accounts show they did, it doesn't matter whether they paid it from their own cash, got money off ADUG, borrowed it from a loan shark etc. UEFA already accepted it was fair value.

That kind of depends who "His Highness" is in the emails. Having worked in Abu Dhabi for Etisalat "His Highness" normally refers to the Emir himself currently Sheikh Khalifa Al Nahyan. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan would be referred to as "His Highness Sheikh Mansour". It is unlikely that Simon Pearce and others would not stick to protocol - in which case the emails are simply saying that the boss of state owned companies would guarantee the spondirship cash if needed.

it is rumoured that the German Media outlet 'Der Spiegel' are coming under increasing pressure, with the revelations that some of their journalists, 'just makes shit up', it is alleged.
Der Spiegel may come under the scrutiny of Europes equivalent of the Independant Broadcasting Authority, who would likely take a very dim view of this behaviour.
If evidence presented to the European equivalent of the IBA shows that Der Spiegel have knowingly published what may prove to be false reporting, then they may be forced to impose the toughest sanctions on the paper.
This could mean up to an including the banning of individual journalists or the complete shut down of the paper, altogether.
