How You Became A Blue!

I was a blue on December 20th 1941 the day I was born. No football during WW2 otherwise I'd have been taken to Maine Road before Sept. 21st 1947.

City played Bradford City and as far as I recall we stuffed them 6-2 in the old Div 2.

We won the Div 2 title that year and the following season both Manchester teams played at Maine Road 'cos good old Adolf had told his bomber pilots to flatten the swamp, which they did.
Say what you want about Adolf but he got his priorities right :D

I've seen City win cups, leagues, promotion, been relegated....the whole nine yards.

City 'til I die? you betcha

got a niall quinn video as a present for my eight birthday in 1991 he was my favourite irish player and my uncle is a rag so thought it would piss him off nicely. on a side note there were eight boys in my class in primary school and 6 were rags 1 liverpool and me! 3 of the rags changed to blackburn and then back again typical eh took me years before i met another city fan.

About 1969, and needed a football kit for games at primary school, saw someone in the black and red strips of the time (and many times since!) told my dad thats the one for me, been going since 1971, CTID

Simple choice really was it red or blue, I choose blue. Thinking back over the years best decision I have made. Doctor doesn't think so though, no hair, high cholesterol, potential heart failure, stress but what the hell do we pay our taxes for if not to have a health service there and ready for when we start winning stuff and I need resucitating.

all my family are blues on my dads side apart from two rags who married into the family but their sons are blues. i dont know when it was but all i know is my dad took me to a match when i was young. it could of been early eighties was a sunny day think we were playing brighton and we won that sold me the dream plus the pack lunch ate before halftime. it was false advertisement though but still City til i die.

Born into it, both Mum and Dad were Blues and Dad took me til I was about 9, he then effed off so I went with a couple of blues who were in my cub group ! ha ha...... I am now 35 and still go with a couple of mates form back then amongst others !

Hopefully my first child (due in 4 weeks) will post on here in years to come and be able to tell you that his/her Dad took him/her every home game !

My Mum (rag) and all her family are united crazy, her father was a close freind of Matt Busby and the whole family went to all United games and parties/meals with the players.
My Dad (rag) is a close freind of Schmeichel and Bruce and all his family are United fans
When I was about 7 I had United shirts, all my freinds were united fans, and United just won the treble.
One day I was at my local park and saw city fans jumping around and screaming after promotion and I was interested because I didn't even know who City were. I went up and asked some of them what happend and they converted me. I've been a crazy blue ever since and made all 6 of my brothers and sisters to!

That my dear blue is known as destiny

Born blue

I believe I still hold the record as "youngest junior blue" to this day.

2 minutes or so old I was. Not sure if they do the whole who can register the quickest thing with live for city.

So practically born blue.
