I'm not ref bashing because I don't think he had a particularly bad game but what is vexing me is Lampard's challenge in the first 10 mins bringing Silva down to stop our counter. ...no card no talking to...but then about 30mins in he does the exactly the same and a card is given.

Joe Hart lost us the game not Howard Webb. Refereeing was in general fair. No complaints from me.

Blind as a bat.

He was inconsistent with his bookings.

Ramires challenge on Navas was disgusting and warranted a 2nd yellow.

The body check on Silva was identical to the one Garcia was booked for.

Lampard was allowed to trip our player at start of game. A mandatory yellow which he got away with and subsequent yellow should have been 2nd.

We lose out in every game both in terms of free-kick's and the opposition not being given yellow cards (and therefore allowed to continue fouling us) because we like to keep the game moving.

Webbs false widow spider he couldn't get any false, one thing i did notice was his argument with David silva at the end, that alone told me he lost it because he had been found out.

Really pissed me off that, speaking to Silva like he was some sort of stupid kid.

Trying to keep positive in light of everything and I still believe we will come good overall. However, in terms of refereeing, if you go to the 20th minute or thereabouts in the game, you will see John Terry talk to Webb. Webb appears to acknowledge Terry, nod his head and say "thanks". Next City challenge made (within the space of about 30-40 seconds of this happening) Webb immediately gives a free kick and produces a yellow card. The challenge was that much of a nothing challenge, Neville even commented it was a harsh card.

Hate to make these threads, but what a shit referee this guy has become. Booked us at every foul today. Let Chelsea players body check Silva and Navas but kept giving them free kicks for the same thing. Let them get away with sinical fouls with no bookings. Sick of the shit English referees.

Most Utd fans can't stand him,in fact I don't know a ref a Utd supporter does prefer ,all refs are all shite,esp the balloon who gave spurs a pen yesterday .btw do you really believe that Webb would listen to a tool like Terry,the red was ok yesterday ,nothing controversial ,if hart hadn't have cocked up ,no one would have mentioned Webb.
One piece of common sense though was shown by Jones in the Norwich game,I know some refs who would have given that goal and caused a furore.
