Do you know what - I just saw a bit on TV. The spaced out bandsmen, the lack of people waving and cheering in the streets - its more dignified and more low key just like he would have wanted.

I do fear for Her Majesty's longevity after this now - I know its stiff upper lip and all that but inside she must be crushed by these events.

even if we still have Covid restrictions when she does I just cannot see the crowds staying away for her...really just can't. The only way to fix it would be to stop all except authorised travel in and out of Windsor.

Must say the backdrop of the inside of Windsor Castle against the bright blue sky is stunning.

as an aside about 25 years ago my B Reg Fiat uni once got clamped in Windsor. Was untaxed unisured and not in my name so just got the train home.
