HRH Prince Philip - Passed Away

Proud to be British. Sad to think the next one will probably be the Big One.
The coffin party were great on the steps. Its far from easy on the flat let alone having to feel for the steps in heavy boots.
Well done also to the young Grenadiers who carried the coffin onto the hearse. The Marines in the Chapel were old hands.
A shame that the black soldiers were not easily recognisable but there will be two proud mums who saw their lads in the Scottish Regiment in pics that will go around the world.
One thing we are outstanding at - such class and dignity.

A lovely, dignified ceremony in beautiful spring sunshine which was sombre but uplifting. I wasn't planning on watching it but did. The whole thing was beautifully done and it was actually better for having just his closest family in attendance rather than hundreds of dignitaries that he had probably never even met.

Felt so sorry for The Queen, so alone in her grief yet remaining immensely dignified and was nice at the end to see William and Harry walking up the hill and chatting.
