This isn’t my area of expertise but £2m per “unit” seems like a ridiculous amount of money.

Makes you wonder who's actually being "assisted" in this project doesn't it?

That list is filtered for the South East region only although number 1 is the same number 1 as for the whole UK.
Interestingly, if it’s filtered for the North West, the Etihad north stand expansion comes in at £1.5bn so not sure where the figures are from.

I hate saying this, but we need to get some French input on this to get it finished. If nothing else the French can do infrastructure much better and cheaper than us. Once the Irish didn’t need the work, we were stuffed.

Are the residents of Oxfordshire arguing that? I would think that they don't want to be in the same area as Dudley or Wolverhampton (spits on ground after typing that!)

The French have the luxury of building most of their infrastructure upon open fields, and I understand there's nothing like the hullabaloo in French planning if the French Govt want their way!

Banbury is about 20 miles from Warwick - and so definitely isn’t in the south east!

The only extra capacity we need is direct services from Wembley to Ashburys on Sundays in late February and mid May.
