HTC one or Samsung Galaxy S4?

My first smart phone was a HTC desire (superb) but have been with samsung since with a short fling in between with apple (spit). I'm after a new phone and I'm personally veering towards the HTC again after reading some reviews, it also looks pretty nice too and feels like its made to a higher quality.

How does the S4 compare to the iphone 5 then?

I'm due an upgrade soon, currently on the iphone 4. I'm not an apple geek although but I don't have any complaints about the iphone and will most likely just get the 5. Just wondering if I'd regret getting the Samsung, any thoughts?

I had the iPhone 5, changed it to the s4 and didn't like it, in my opinion the 5 was better and easier to use. So I'm back to a 5, better looking easier to use and hasn't a crap plastic back!

Love my s4 quality phone I went via a web site that gave me 70 cash back (pm me for a link) and got a bril deal on service plan £36 pm 2000min unlimited txts and most importantly unlimited Internet. ... also had a choice of free gifts so got a little travel speaker for my trios to the beach when ever that might be haha

Pm me the link please mate :)

HTC one s on three does everything i need but the tethering and portable hotspot with unlimited internet is a lifesaver, runs five seperate computers/tablets. Apple, android or windows is down to personal preference.

Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of. I have had a Samsung in the past and wasn't impressed - kind of puts me off, and I know exactly where I am with the iphone. Cheers.

HTC One. Better build quality than S4 (aluminium rather than cheap, creaky plastic), HTC Sense overlay is much better than Samsung's Touchwiz, and the One is the best looking phone around at the moment. Plus you know that everyone will get an S4 when they're due an upgrade. Don't be a sheep!

Just had a funny but frustrating conversation with Orange. Called them up and pointed out a few deals I had spotted:
From Orange: <a class="postlink" href="http://www.buymobilephones.net/mobile-phones/htc/htc-one-silver/orange/orange-panther-20-24mths-inc-internet/14960438?adnetwork=awin&utm_source=awp&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_campaign=63862&awc=3202_1370770453_ea0f92df74710a86253a931b138b33d1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.buymobilephones.net/mobile-p ... 1b138b33d1</a>
From O2: <a class="postlink" href="http://www.buymobilephones.net/mobile-phones/htc/htc-one-silver/o2/22-o2-300-24mths-internet/14960364?adnetwork=awin&utm_source=awp&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_campaign=63862&awc=3202_1370770660_3775f73f1ade3216ae754eb83449f572" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.buymobilephones.net/mobile-p ... b83449f572</a>

I asked them if they could do something similar but with reducing my tariff for the next eight months until the end of my contract. The logic being that I get a deal that I could get anyway, but they reduce my liability to Orange (£110 remaining until this contract is paid up), and then I can stay with Orange, rather than switch to O2. I win to the tune of maybe £55 if they're being generous, £30 if not. Get this, this is the best deal they could offer me:

£20.50 a month
£250 for the phone
£110 early upgrade (full whack)

But that works out £120 (from Orange)/£110 (from O2, +£1.50 a month for 200 extra minutes) more than I can get it for right now, +£30 they could surely have knocked off my current contract as a bonus/reward for starting renewing a 24 month contract.

So now, I could have two contracts, with two sets of minutes, texts and data both from Orange FOR £120 LESS than having one contract. Madness. By the end I felt like laughing as I tried to explain the absurdity of it. Anyway, I'm definitely fucking them off now. I really tried desperately to speak sense into them. I framed it several times in the language of "win-win for Orange and for me" and "middle ground where we can both be happy". Nothing doing.
