HTC one or Samsung Galaxy S4?

S4-All day long.Best phone on the market IMO.

Apple users will say otherwise however Android all the way. I've got the S3 and want to upgrade asap to the S4

I'm in exactly the same position but stil got just under a year on my contract so looks like i'll be waiting a while.

Had the HTC desire first which was OK back in the day, opted for the Samsung Galaxy nexus last Feb on an 18 month contract so due a new one in august and I am going for the S4, not much between the one and the s4 but tbh from what I have read I think the s4 edges it, leaving orange to to go onto a unlimited internet tariff, shame that orange don't do unlimited as by far the best signal...imo

I am an Anti Apple Man.

I got a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (Jellybean 4.2.1 OS) a couple of months ago.

What a superb phone.

A Colin Bell of a unit... smooth, versatile, magnificent. (And dare I say it) faster than Colin...

Htc one is easily the best phone I've ever had/used.. Use a iPhone mostly ,only cause of iMessage but I can't recommend the one enough

If you are mentally challenged and unable to master anything with a complexity beyond an Early Learning Centre 'laptop' then the iPhone is for you. If you aren't mentally challenged then it's a bit of a toss-up between the HTC One and the S4. The One is a bit better looking, the S4 is a bit more functional.

I've just finished my old HTC contract and am undecided about a replacement so I've switched to a cheap sim-only tariff while I make up my mind.

Am considering the Samsung S4, the Samsung S4 mini, HTC One and the expected Google Nexus 4 replacement (4S / 5). I'm hoping for some competitive pricing around the corner.

The HTC One and Google Nexus come with non-replaceable batteries and fixed storage, which I don't like. Both Samsungs are better here (IIRC).

All of the phones are a bit too large for me with the possible exception of the Samsung S4 mini. I use them for running/cycling training and route finding so they need to be compact to fit into small pockets.

So it looks like the S4 mini for me but I need to wait till Google announce their Nexus plans before taking the next step.

Galaxy S4 gets my vote. Replaced my iphone 4s with it and never looked back. Excellent screen, 2 day battery life, and expandable memory for music and films. I dont get the plastic vs aluminium body argument as I always have a case for my phones anyway.

Another factor what I am in the dark about is the texting on the 2 phones, on my old desire I used the predictive texting rather than the key board but the Samsung Google nexus phone I got last year does not have this function so I have to use quertey keyboard so was also wondering if the S4 or the one has predictive....this will be a key factor when I decide next month seeing as there is little to choose between both phones...
