Completely agree. We cannot play out from the back and through midfield as well as normal with Delph and fernando in the same team. It is not just their lack of creativity but their inability to protect the ball when a defender or goalkeeper gives them the ball. It means we lose the ball much more often in our half and end up playing long to our midget men up front.

I went to palace in the cup and saw delph and felt sorry for him. I'm not sure whether it is a lack of talent or game time but he was forever arriving somewhere just as the ball was leaving.
Players all have their strengths and weaknesses, and Guardiola has to pick a team which gives us the correct mix of attacking flair going forward and defensive solidity.

For the most part this season we have lacked defensive cover in midfield. Against Huddersfield, it swung the other way. We met a team who got everyone behind the ball, and lacked a player who could open them up.

Delph, Fernando, Garcia etc have all suffered now and in the past by being compared to players like Silva, and Yaya but they have different attributes. Maybe Guardiola wants a defensive player who is more proficient on the ball. I think for all the talk about City re-jigging the defence in the Summer, it's a defensive midfielder that will be Priority No. 1. Sort that out, and many of our defensive problems will diminish.

seeing you can buy tickets in SS L1 on the site where are they housing the Huddersfield fans for the Replay, I thought they may get the SSL 1 and 2 as normal cup games for away fans.

Play nacho for Aguero.

KDB or Silva but not both.

Other than that, same team as the away match.

More than capable of winning at home as they were away. Just needed to take one of the three one on ones we had.

I can't see the point in playing such a strong team when, if we do win, Pep will almost certainly play a much weaker team against against Boro, a game which would take place in between the re-arranged Stoke game and the much more important Monaco game.

Stick with roughly the same team as played on Saturday (Kelechi in for Aguero), as that is likely to be the team that would play at Boro.

If we proceed to the latter stages of the CL and Fa Cup we're heading for a fixture pile up. Like it or not, the fringe players would have to share some of the workload so playing them against Huddersfield and then Boro would give them much needed game time. And they should be better for having played a few games together.
You'll get no where with good logic like that on here.

Play pretty much a full team but drop in someone like Foden or Sancho just for a massive boost to the fans and Academy.

Watched the training video and Inside City from Abu Dhabi and Vinnie didn't train with the main group for either of the sessions. Clichy and Kolarov did both. Can't see Vinnie making the Huddersfield game if he is still not training yet.
