Our squad is slightly bigger than last season's. We've let Gundo, Laporte, Mahrez and Palmer go, but have replaced them with Kovacic, Nunes, Doku, Gvardiol and Bobb. With KDB back in the squad, Lewis's improvement from last season, and Foden's development as an attacking mid, we have more options in midfield than last season. If we sell Phillips, who barely played last season anyway, we may sign a replacement in January.

Iirc we got Huddersfield away FA Cup 4th? round 2017, first leg was 0-0 at their place, we beat them here 4(5) -1 ,in the replay. So hopefully no replay repeats, a week or so in Abu Dhabi will be a good training session for them.

Foden had to be on the bench in the final months last season. Now he starts on the right, and then Bernardo moves to midfield, or in midfield.

Plus, the point was about the size of the squad, not about the quality of the replacements.
