Danny's quite correct when he says that he can only ask certain questions, especially to the kids and Ferris does do a decent job.
The club can always go back to sticking half time scores up on a manual board labeled A,B,C,D etc and just have two blokes wheeling hot water urns around the pitch selling bovril

Cringeworthy, that one. He really should leave those kind of things as just banter and not ask about them in the interviews... It's like when the players are asked if they 'enjoyed the Poznan' after every single game. They brought it up once and that was fine but after that they should let it be. I'd have Fanzone Danny over Hugh Ferris any day (as an interviewer/host, not up the arse).

I bumped into Hugh Ferris after the celebrations tonight in City Square and asked him if he was a rag - NO, he's a Southampton fan born and bred.

Had a chat with him and he's a decent bloke. He's perplexed someone posted on here that he was a rag cos he isn't. I told him that me and the lad who was with me found 'Fan Zone' Danny cringeworthy and that he needed professional training. If you ever heard anything that worse than him I can't belive it, try his usual tripe 'Hello, and who's your favourite City player? What do you think the scores going to be today?' Shit who's this guys scriptwriter. Well Ferris stuck up for him and said that Danny was a natural in front of the camera and the patter would come with experience. fair play to the bloke.

Ferris knows that he gets alot of grief on BlueMoon and is at a loss as to why. Decent bloke doing a professional job.

Haha thanks for that mate. It is very difficult when speaking Live to kids to ask them something too complex "hello little girl can you tell me the advantage of Mancini playing a 4-4-2 today" in front of thousands of fans it's hard to get anything out of them with them being nervous so I try to ask them something simple that they can answer quickly and easily.

To defend myself a little it's nerve wrecking for me doing it, I'm not media trained and this sort of thing is out of mine and most peoples comfort zone but TBH I'm just doing the best I can. I know it aint brilliant but I'm just like any other Blue on here but am lucky to have been given a crack at something like this, when all said and done I am a fan tho and not a presenter and TBH I wouldn't want to change that! Anyway I have enjoyed the ride this season both on and off the pitch and If I am asked to do something next season I would love some sort of training and would love a script writer even more!! ;o) .......

As for Hugh, I think he really is a good guy and does a great Job, he has helped me loads since I have been doing it and definitely isn't a rag fan!

Thanks for the feedback. Nothing personal intended mate as I've often meant to have a quick word when I've seen you up at Ewan Fields. It's just the Fulham game that sticks out for me when you were asking people what they thought the score was going to be and we had the usual idiotic 4-0, 5-0 etc. But, the Fulham players were back on the pitch and watching you on the big screens. I think they got all there motivation from that as they then scored after the restart. I know it's not your fault but my son and I have always thought since then why you don't ask something else and less tempting fate!
