Put a plug in it mate!

Maybe it's the SINKing feeling we've got that forced Harry the Plumber to bog off!

Hughes is gonna copper load of it today

hehe!

You've started somethin' now Harry ....... bet you wish you'd taken up chartered accounting instead!

The Hughes out lot just say the same stuff they used to say about Swen, Pearce, Royle, and every other manager since Joe Mercer.

This stuff about "he's had enough time - it's a disgrace" etc is total, utter bollocks. People forget Evertonians calling for Moyes' head a while back and even Leicester fans wanted rid of Martin O'Neill at one point. To achieve long-lasting success it is going to take seasons not weeks. The example of Ferguson at the Rags should be obvious.

The fundamental problem this club has had since the 70's is we fuck off managers after a few dodgy results, bring someelse in and then sack him when the exact pattern repeats itself.

I'm convinced there are plenty of City fans who were pleased when Fulham and Burnely equalised as it meant they could boo at the end and knowlingly nod they're heads and say it's time for Hughes to go. Then they bang on about getting a "good young manager like Owen Coyle"! Last year they'd have wanted Phil fucking Brown. Either that or they want some foreign coach who they saw on Sky last week when his team happened to play well away at Real Madrid or Barcalona.

It's a shame, but plenty of our supporters are morons who, despite watching City for years, can't understand that sacking managers every 18 months is idiotic and has created zero in terms of trophies.

Our problem hasn't been sacking managers, it's been lack of respieces and hiring the wrong managers in the first place.

And giving a manager time is no guarantee of success or improvement. Boro gave Southgate time, how did that work out for them?

What we need to is have the right manager, backed by resources and patience. Is Hughes that right manager? I suspect not but he has the rest of the season to press his claims. If it doesn't work out he can't blame lack of resources or lack of patience, just lack of performances and points.

And if it does work out maybe people will be able to talk up his achievements rather than abuse anyone who doesn't rate him, or talk about rags as their only form of defence.

Unlike the Hughes apologists who just come out with the "lets give him time" bollox.

Football is now about finances, the richest clubs buy the best players and employ the best coaches and managers who then bring success to the club.

Hughes has had the money and the green light to change everything he wants.

His excuses for not winning matches is now becoming tiresome!

Just curious, which managers since the 1970's should we have persevered with? I don't remember any of them going on to prove the decisions wrong.

Is it just me that has noticed that every single "class" player we have has gone seriously downhill?

Robinho - Looked like he was going to change the face of the prem when he 1st signed, he looked awsome but now looks average at best...

Ade - I was tempted to put a bet on him being the golden boot winner come the end of the season, after a few weeks with MH he now looks like he couldn't tie his own boot laces! (was he even playing yesterday?)

SWP - Looks like hughes has told him to get the ball and run with it - but when he's asked him what to do with the ball at the end of the run MH has said "er... dunno?"

Unless someone can give me a good explination as to why all these players have gone off the boil since joining us (or since MH took over) then the blame HAS to rest with Hughes.

I know that there are some peeps on here saying "get behind the team" and "stop being negative" but christ - even the biggest blue tinted glasses cannot hide the fact that something is wrong with the training / tactics?

mh cant be compared to any former manager because no other manager in our history as spent a quarter of a billion.the nearest manager we can compare mh too is the chosen one and lets face it since he was sacked which manager as come in and changed chelsea or gone out and bought a new team .mh is not in the same league as some of the managers around so why are the owners putting up with it.the one thing i will say is mh as put in place a freind a member of family in every department of the club which if he was sacked it would cause a good old mess and a lot of rebuilding it would be interesting to see how many players would survive a new manager if mh got sacked.I think he as a team spread over the club of about 30 staff in different positions im not sure how you can get around this quickly.

No one man is more important than the club, not even the manager. If he turns these results around, and we get Robbie back and go on a run of wins, then all well and good. If not, we can't let blind faith allow us to blow this opportunity we've been given. There's no debate about this, the results improve or he's out. Simple as that.
