The Hughes outers who were silent when we won the first four games have all come back. A lot of them have wanted him sacked from day one. They kept quiet when we were doing well but couldn't wait for a chance to slate him again.

Of course they were quiet.

Every City fan was hoping that he had turned a corner. But he hasnt.
Its as easy as that.

If that`s thje case . Why ARN`T THE

I hope your plumbings better than your posting Harry!'

Maybe that was the trouble yesterday ..... we just didn't get enough of the ball , cock ..... and two more points went down the drain!

don`t know what happened there but what i was saying is if the Hughes out mob were quiet when things were right.
Shouldn`t those of us who support him be quiet now?

Not if they think he is the right man for the job.

Maybe it's the SINKing feeling we've got that forced Harry the Plumber to bog off!

He does have the help of £200m worth of players and for £11m in wages you'd have thought they could at least play well even if they can't get results.

And? since when dose ££££ mean you should automatacally become a top 4 side.

It doesn't but it helps... as does having a good manager.

The club, and a lot of the fans, still has a bit of a losing mentality.

That bit is so right. Some supporters are so accepting of mediocrity - at some point the expectation levels have to be raised. The manager is responsible for this team - he put it together at great cost and if the vultures are starting to circle then that is why. Some people though think that because in the past we have had more managers than hot dinners we shouldn't even question if someone else could do better - that it makes us spoilt by our money. But expectations for success should be accelerated, everything has been put on a plate for Mark Hughes - he and his fans have to accept that great expectations now go with the territory. The team may have only lost one game, but the team that played the last five is very different from the one which started the season so full of confidence and for me it is the apparent inability to reverse a pattern of bad form that is the worrying thing. The defence hasn't been at it for 10 games now (one clean sheet against the least prolific team in the Premier league) but what has been done to improve performance? Nothing as far as I can see. In the whole of last season the was a clear problem with the away form but it couldn't be reversed - that is a worrying thing for me.

Saying that, sixth in the league with a game in hand doesn't mean we are miles away from our target of the top four. A couple of wins and things will look a lot better - but no-one should complain about pressure or criticism - other managers who haven't had a pot to piss in have had to live with it and therefore Hughes definitely should.
