Hughes future being considered.

Hughes was never the choice of ADUG, they came in a little late. i do think he will be replaced at the end of the season. i was unsure about replacing him until now.

But now i'm sure he has to go at the end of the season, i was convinced this man was shrewd until today. i don't disagree with his signings but i am very shocked at the fees and wages being mooted, ive lost all respect for him because i believed him when he said he wouldnt pay over the odds. i understand there are premiums of course but i expected him to play the market a little wiser.

jose cannot come fast enough for me now.

To an extent I agree, but at the same time a large part of that negotiation will be down to Cook and Aldridge, not Hughes. Managers have far less input into that type of stuff than they used to, even a 'hands on' man like Hughes.

10 million is a drop in the ocean to our owners. Think bigger.

Can I be the first in offering to escort Hughes to wherever he wishes to go next? Hopefully it will be as far away from here as possible.

well there is nothing like missing a boat but have been putting the baby to bed so only just looked at my phone and i had 20+ messages all along the same line.

Reacurring direct quote "Mark Hughes' position is being questioned and all transfer funds have been frozen till they discuss it".

Now i know this is a bout as much use a one legged man in an arse kicking contest being on page 18 of the thread and apparantly according the SSN were about to sign Parker but i had the text from far too many members of staff to not post something.

i think the reality is (thankfully) we are the richest club in the world and a world class manager will have to come in eventually. jose will come ............if we build it he will come

We have to and I see no reason why we won't get a top, top manager in thew summer. Big players will be happy to come then, as long as we are in the prem...

Never in a month of Sundays will Jose come here unless we're a consistent top four side, dream on.
Don't see why not, with his player pull and our recources he could easily take us to the top and take the credit for doing so, I wouldn't be surprised to see him here in the summer.

I would be very surprised. Remember, the Rag job is up for grabs in a year's time and ol' purple nose has made his admiration for Mourinho quite clear, and they both get on well with each other. The Rag board has always said baconface would have an input in selecting his successor and Mourinho is likely to be his recommendation.

IMO Mourinho will win the league with Inter this year, stay on for another season to win the Champs League (the sole reason he was brought to Inter), then take the rag job.

I don't think City will even come into it. He's already taken a small team right to the very top (Porto), he's already worked for a billionaire's plaything where he can buy whoever he wants (Chelsea), and he's currently trying to bring the ultimate trophy to a team that has consistently under achieved in that tournament (Inter).

What he is yet to do is manage one of the world's truly huge footballing giants - Barcelona, Real Madrid, the rags, AC Milan etc. One of those jobs will definitely be available in a year and he is guaranteed to be the front runner. He isn't going to come to City and risk missing out on a career-defining opportunity like that.

Just my opinion of course.
