Hughes future being considered.

If MH goes soon, then surely a fire fighter will be installed beofre a big name in the summer, none springing to mind...

If Jose said he was up for the gig, Id be happy as a clam.

My concern is that we get rid (mid season) of a manager that knows the Prem, and bring in someone who doesn't....the time it may take to 'get used to things' might not be enough at this juncture.

I have every idea MH will be gone at the end of the season though, regardless of what happens for the rest of this campaign.

I think you are right, until May at least.

Can someone explain to me how a caretaker manager would be better than hughes?

All you Hughes out people - ok we sack MH and Venables\Souness\Ince\Keane\Curbs\Boothroyd take over (chosen a handful of jobless managers who have managed in the prem), how in gods green earth does that benefit stability and giving Hughes time? Your gonna make a change in the summer anyway for a better manager so...why not stick with Hughes and if its shit, make the change in the summer like you would anyway if u had a caretaker. Perhaps, with his own players MH might get it right in the next 5 months.

Dont understand the logic of the Hughes out brigade at present.

Yeah do that!!! We've got more points under Hughes first 18 games than we did with Sven's last 18, so yeah what a superb idea.

I happen to think this is closer tot he truth
I agree with this and firmly believe this is the best option for now. Let him bring the players in. If we're still under achieving in summer, sort it out then. Now is not the time at all.

Have a look at the results, my friend! There's the logic.

yes- being beaten 3-0 at home by Nottingham Forest. logic.

If they don't sack him now, the board will have to come out and give him yet another vote of confidence. That will be the 4th one in about 3 weeks. Not good that, I firmly believe they'll be discussing giving him the push.

even tho we did do shit in the last half of the season we still finished 9th, if we carry on the way things are now we might get relegated, unless a miricale happens.

He will not be going anywhere, if there was a rumour it has most likely been started by disaffected players who know they are on their way out

Ducado, how long would you give him? and who would your choice replacement be?

Apparently not, haven't checked the data myself but its been posted in a couple of threads. Only 1 point difference (in Sven's favour) if I remember right, but it does make you wonder what hughes has done with the extra talent in the squad.
