Hughes ineptitude highlighted for all to see

You couldn't be more wrong, the reason Hughes failed had nothing to do with the points we took off the "better teams" It was all to do with taking 23 points out of 84 points on the road, which if it wasn't for our great home form(something that SGE team also had)we would have been in real trouble last year. Mancini's team won 3-0 away, first attempt, if Mancini sorts out the away form we will finish 4th.

Which suggests to me its all about confidence...were safe at home...when we play away we look shaky to say the least and I havent seen anything to convince me otherwise with Mancini...yet. The chances are that if we played a more capable team and gave the same performance we wouldnt have got the result we did. You cant possibly say that Mancini has 'got it right' or 'is on the right track' Its wayyyyy to early for that.

yes i can say. in the short time bob Mancini has been in charge, we have looked more compact as a team so far. the players eg Micah, toure, barry, ireland and tevez have looked to have improved there game

I think its a case of 'new manageritus' and I can see how that would rub off on the players and quite a few fans too. I hope desperately that Bob turns out to be everything we expect...just like Hughes though, I'm not gonna judge him before I think he's been given time to show what his plans are and how he'll improve the team. The positivity around at the moment can only serve us well, I just hope that it is backed up with a solid sustainable push for the top 4 and for me its just too early to tell.

Better tactics, better coaching, better support staff its there for all to see. People need to accept facts Hughes did a shit job. Had to go I dont know any city fans that disagrees with this at the end of the day.

It pisses me off to have to listen to all the twat pundits pointing this out when they were all wailing and whinging about the decision to sack him and then before that, urging us to stick with him because of the splendid job he was doing,

It pains me to say this but........

It also takes a bit of dignity to admit you were wrong. He did a bad job, terrible in fact considering what he was given.

You try and put a negative spin on another excellent result. Maybe you should concentrate on a brilliant performance and the new manager that produced it rather than clutching at straws trying to justify the previous flawed regime and those trying to damage our club?

Still amazes me that people that claim to support city would try and be negative and try and take the gloss of what is another excellent result. I thing people should focus on what is best for the club, I really dont want to hear about MH again TBH.

huhh? I didnt see any brilliant performance. Excellent result admittedly but its obvious we still have a long way to go to make a sustained push for a top four spot. Mancini has had two games in charge, he may have done things slightly differently than Hughes would have done in those two games but to be thinking of him as our new Messiah who will lead us to the promised land is premature to say the least. The hardest task that our new manager will have is patently obvious and that is to instill confidence. He has the perfect opportunity to do so in our next run of games in the league given the opposition. The real test, and when I will begin to judge the merits of Mancini, is when we start to play (supposedly) tougher teams. If he can show consistently we have what it takes to compete on an even keel with the likes of the scum, arse (not their second team) the chavs (not on their current form) and villa, I will begin to believe that Mancini is capable of doing something that other managers, including Hughes could not.

Very petty by the OP. Hughes has laid the foundations. A lot of those players out there tonight were signed by him. Try getting some perspective on things.

well said jim!
