Scott Parker is a player I've admired for quite some time........... Oooh fuck, I felt dizzy and thought I was Harry Rednapp for a minute then.

Seriously, I think Parker is still a quality player, but, if you compare him with DeJong there's not much between them at the moment, however DeJong has age on his side.

You cant compare them!! De Jong is great at what he does he is a spoiler in the midfield breaking up the flow of the other teams attacks all great teams need a player like that

We really should have signed Scott Parker in the window, he would help take us to the next level (top 6). A much better player than De Jong, who is just an upgraded Gelson, only he can tackle better. We need someone like Parker, good tenacious english player who'll get stuck in, which is what we lack especially for games like Stoke away and other dumps where we get bullied

Parker is the Ford Focus of midfielders.
We've got enough of them already.
We need more midfield players that can undo defences like Ireland.
Whether we'll get them remains to be seen.I have a feeling that you might just get your wish.

Which evidently appears to be the argument people are making here - proven middle of the road Premier League player with 10 years experience in this country, vs 10 games.

De Jong seems to get this reaction speak to 10 fans 5 will say great 5 will say bobbins for me he was the best outfield signing in Jan (If Bellamy had stayed fit then yes Bellers would have been) But De Jong is exactly the player we needed in that position he is there to break up opposition attacks and thats what he does. sure it aint prettybut its effective and you don't win 30 Dutch caps if your a mug
