I just think at times like this when we're basically an easy target for the world to piss themselves at we need to stick together and present a 'united' front.

I agree with that but it doesn't mean Hughes is a better manager because we should stick together. All his flaws still remain and he should still not be our manager and whatever way I look at that I can't change my opinion.

What about all the shit he's had/having to put up with though? Let's face it we've been a joke club for 30 odd years now and it's never gonna change until some dullard comes in and tweaks every last fucking thing so that's it's 'just so'. Hughes could be that man, I think he might be.

A lot of his tactical decisions have left me cold BUT I've also pitied him at times, something I've never done with our managers before, due to the fact that some players do seem to be against him to some degree. I believe Hughes is doing his best, he's doing a lot we dont know about too I'm sure.

I know he's a rag twat but things change and I'm one of the few on here honest enough to say I'd take Ronaldo anyday of the week from the scum..

Come on boys, my opinions on Hughes are no secret, can't be arsed going through it all again.

Send me in the right direction please, any particular thread.

For me, the below sums up Jay's mentality...

Is one thing we'll never get now, they'll be so much spin from both sides that soon enough we won't know our arses from our elbows and wankers like SSN will lap it up, feeding off every bit of nasty gossip they can get their hands on.

The incompetence of this club is apalling. From the Chief exec down through the manager and with some of the players we are a fucking joke. Who the fuck do we think we are trying to sign one of the best players of a generation when we have so manty fucking idiots at the club? We need a massive clear out where nobody's job is safe. The Arabs have to think long and hard about our next move, maybe they need to be more active on a day-to-day basis because what is going on at our club at the moment is a shambles, only City can go from being 1/6 to sign Kaka and on the same day he fucks us off we sign Bellamy at an inflated cost and our star players fucks off home. Total shambles and I'm fucking sick of it.

Knee jerk in the extreme...

aye, anyone who goes immediately from stating 'we will never know the truth' about something to launching an attack on the parties involved has clearly let their vitriol get the better of them

As others have said, we need a siege mentality around the club. We need the supporters to get behind the players, manager, and tell the rest of the footballing fraternity to go fuck themselves.

Instead there is a minority of, well I'm not going to mince words, supposed know all's who are far more interested in their own opinions than they are in supporting the club, being objective, and allowing those in charge a chance to make their mark.

I do agree with this and it's something Ferguson has done well with at the scum. You only need to see the change in attitude of players when they join Utd, they become arrogant and believe they're the best which is surely the best attitude you can have going onto the pitch.

Hughes needs to show the players the scorn they've received from the press, he needs to build them into an insular unit.

To be honest there was a hunger in the performance against Wigan. We battered them in the first half, and then battled hard in the second half...don't know if you noticed but there were a lot of bear hugs and huge smiles at the final whistle...felt like the players felt like they all had points to prove and had proved them...

I think the players would have had to have been deaf dumb and blind to not read or hear all the negativity which was sent our way...those players need to prove that they're better than their league position suggests, and that they need to start performing every week as if their lives depend on the result...
