You only need to see the change in attitude of players when they join Utd, they become arrogant and believe they're the best which is surely the best attitude you can have going onto the pitch.
Hughes needs to show the players the scorn they've received from the press, he needs to build them into an insular unit.
To be honest there was a hunger in the performance against Wigan. We battered them in the first half, and then battled hard in the second half...don't know if you noticed but there were a lot of bear hugs and huge smiles at the final whistle...felt like the players felt like they all had points to prove and had proved them...
I think the players would have had to have been deaf dumb and blind to not read or hear all the negativity which was sent our way...those players need to prove that they're better than their league position suggests, and that they need to start performing every week as if their lives depend on the result...
Yeah I noticed a lot of little things during the game, most noticeable for me was Kompany who spent the entire second half 'geeing' up the lads, slapping hands with Hart etc. We had to battle, thanks to Dunney, and in the end we got 3 good points from a form team.
Was odd but also kinda nice to see Robinho also attempting to waste a few mins towards the end, probably alien to him but nice to see never the less. Although I hate time wasting but we had to I suppose.
We got lucky on occasion against Wigan but that's good to see, it's about time we got any luck and I'd happily settle for a few more scrappy 1-0 wins between now and the end of the season. We have to finish top 10, I want to finish 7th. We can do it.
