Hughes Out-

LOL...we're back to Hughes being tactically unaware.

I really don't get this type of post, because it implies that IF Hughes had changed things, the result would've been different. You simply don't know that. IMO, a team who equalizes in the 90th minute at $old Trafford should be able to see the game out. Whatever players are on the park, and whatever ridiculous, cheating, amount of time is added on by the officials.

We were poor at the back - but to criticize Hughes for that is shockingly myopic and blinkered when looked at within the context of the start to the season we've had, and the number of new players we have who need to get to know each other.

Billyshears getting the wrong end of the stick? Never!

No-one has said it would have changed the result but it's a managers job to do everything they can to prevent defeat and Hughes didn't do that for a number of reasons on Sunday.

But I'm glad your tongue is so far up his arse you can see Mark Bowens foot!

Funny that. The team. As in the players who played. Feel they let Hughes down. I've not heard any mention of tactical naivety or anything like that. Just that they defended incredibly poorly, and are ashamed of themselves. I think I'm more inclined to take their word for what's going on rather than a bunch of armchair managers who think it's as easy as "get warmed up, going on to rescue this match...".

But I'm glad your tongue is so far up his arse you can see Mark Bowens foot!

It's touching to know your so concerned about the well being of my tongue. If you want, I'll remove it from Hughes' arse tonight and put it back in your mothers.

Hahaha mother jokes, really?

What's also funny is that players never, ever blame a manager but you choose to take this as an exception. I can't even be arsed arguing with you, you're dull. And no it's not because I have no comeback or that you're right, it's because you're a cock.

LOL.

You'll be shocked I'm sure, but I spoke to one of the first team Sunday night. They were GUTTED at letting the manager down. Not the other way round.

But feel free to continue pretending you know best...

I kinda agree, he should've made subs earlier, an the sub he did make, was wrong, because yes petrov did set up bellers goal(the only thing he did), but de jong came off, why didnt he take ireland off, take richards off for zaba, take richards off for weiss, put weiss at rm, with swp at rb, or even zaba for ireland, the possibilities were endless, an tbf it can really be enfuriating.

It seems to me that everyone has completely overlooked the fact that it was so close to resulting 4-3 to City if Richards could just let that across goal ball hit his body in anyway in the dying moments! To blame Hughes and his tactical inability is crazy considering how close we were.

hughes had no control over the finish, somebody has to take responsibilty for organising the defence in situations like that,i also agree with the earlier poster about given, i was screaming at the television for him to roll the ball out

I am sure I know a damned sight less about football than many people on here... but it does seem to me Mark Hughes just doesn't do *enough* in terms of tactics and substitutions etc. It's not just a matter of him making the right or wrong choices/decisions. He just seems happy to let things carry on without making changes.

It's not just the rags game that makes me say this. Most matches I am waiting for the substitution or formation change... that just doesn't come.

OK, so some of this can be excuses on what's available (or not) on the bench. But not all of it. He definitely needs to intervene more, imho.

Was it Benjani; joke over. Billy I am not saying Iam right Hughes is wrong, I would wager my home on Hughes being a better football manager than me; safe bet.

I am entitled to an opinion though on my favourite team, and while I have warmed to Hughes, a great spokesperson for the club well up to Fergie dog baiting games (Unlike Benitez and Wenger), a great eye for talent and a winning mentality, I just think tactically he needs to improve. Thats not a crime, he has never had such talent, resources at his disposal before, he is learning.

Yes, if he had made different tactical changes or brought on substitutes we could have got stuffed 6 - 2 who knows.

In the end it is one of the best City performances in about 33 years, I was chuffed and gutted at the same time. What a team we have, what potential; team and manager. He could be the next Fergie.

I hear you mate. I really do. Hughes is by no means the finished article. And neither are his team. But we're closer than we've ever been in my lifetime...
