I continued to think he needed a bit more time (less than a calendar year in the job) but no league win since the season started and no away win at all has been his downfall. Football is a results game and he's not been earning them. This is the sacking that could do him some real damage but I think if he swallows his pride and takes over a Championship club without his usual crew of Boyos behind him then he can rebuild his reputation. Sam Allardyce wasn't too proud to step in at West Ham. Now look at them.
