hughes the casualty

If we're going to be signing mediocre shite like Bellamy and having no ambition to signing top-quality players then maybe Hughes IS the right man to get the best out of an average mid-table squad?

If we're going to be signing players in the same calibre as Kaka with a multi-cultural melting pot of a squad then Hughes isn't the right man for that job. He has no experience with that and will be massively out of his depth.

If you can give me a list of the sucsess and great performances pre Hughes i would gladly love to hear them.
Oh i forgot we only ever had problems and bad results since Hughes arrived.

Whilst sticking with him and giving him a chance would be the thing to do imo, I think the lure of a top class manager will be too much in the summer. I think Hughes is on borrowed time. I hope I'm wrong - we need some stability and patience right now but I don't think he'll get it unless we finish top 7 and get to at least the semis of the UEFA cup.

As long as we wait until summer before reviewing - we should be safe this season and no need to rock the boat even more now. And who knows, we might even put a winning streak together between now and the end of the season that would make things look much better.

this has been a balls up, good and proper.i can only see the blame lying at the feet of mark hughes, of course he has had nothing to do with the kaka farce but he'll cop for it. on here , in the press and possibly at the club.although kaka is a loss,a big loss, it does'nt compare with losing robinio, he does have a history of mard arsing but can we do without his goals? i dont think so.the sad thing is i can only see us making amends by changing the manager for no other reason than politics. a new manager(jose?)would maybe calm robbie and re attract kaka.
garry cook seems to have gone in with the wrong tools to close the deal otherwise he's be up the swanee too.
as for robbie he should knuckle down and get on with the job, i do feel a little sorry for him as he's been promised world stars to join him, we then turn up bellamy and co, good as they are they are not what robbie expected.

hold on to your hats again, this is MCFC.

with the greatest of respect de niro you slated another poster and called him "a dick" for saying that Hughes was not the man only on Saturday - now you are Hughes out. big big lol.
Yeh that was me ,so i notice you have started a Hughes Out Thread so who,s the DICK now lol

read it again, i say it will be here the press and the board that blame hughes, i also said sadly he will cop it.not that he should do.
we dont know who to believe but if cook had to go away to discuss what terms he could offer then its our board that are to blame, they wont sack themselves.

A potential transfer didn't go through. It was always unlikely at best. This is hardly an earth shattering event. Only the constant media hype has made it feel like one. Should we sack managers, directors and the tea lady? Bollox should we. It has happened before and it will happen again. It is now history and we move on.

If it means the riddance of Hughes, I'm happy. You backed Hughes and the problem is that's a short term view. Long term, the man doesn't have the skills of man management.

You're chopping and changing your opinion a fair bit, lately. Is this you retracting your laying the blame at Elano's door now, as well, Bill???

What an utter load of shit....fucking garbage...."Long term, the man doesn't have the skills of man management."

Forgive me if I take the word of some of the first team squad rather than a little man with little man syndrome...

Fucking Elano, Jo, Robinho...players should tow the line or get the fuck out.

Bill, there's no way on earth that Hughes is swinging for either the Kaka deal or Robbie going missing...it's clear to anyone with even a quarter of a brain that the owners have faith in what Hughes is doing...in fact, I do as well...

Anyway, FWIW, I think Robbie will be back for the Newcastle game...

Most people aren't mad at Kaka not joining us but they ARE mad at the prospect of losing Robinho. After all, if Kaka is worth over 100 million surely Robinho is worth double what we paid for him and should receive commensurate wages too. If Hughes allows him to leave, then all Hell will break loose.
