Hughes the master tactician

Aren't people allowed to have an opinion any more? I don't agree with the OP, but it's his opinion and it's fair enough.

And TBH 1-0 against Boro doesn't prove him right or wrong.

Am always full of beer at this time so perhaps you are right, but i cant help disagreeing with comments that are blatantly wrong. I just watched a City team scrap for every ball right up to 93 minutes and the poster i took to task said we had no commitment. There are so many here that seem to be willing Hughes to fail. Some have blamed the players for our poor away form this season, but most negative comments are aimed at Hughes. I dont know what it is but i get the feeling MH knows more about football than all of us put together...

Don't get carried away just because we got three points today, lads. Given made FOUR really great saves, and we could as well have lost 1-4. Our defense looks really shake even though we are playing with two defensive midfielders.

First half was really frustrating, second half a little better. We were the better team, but we still played mediocre football.

No one is getting carried away, most of us recognise problems when we see them, and most of us know that sometimes you play crap and win, it happens to all teams, and don't fucking patronise us!
Seconded. It seems Humlanitton only wants to count the chances that 'Boro missed. Their 'keeper made 2 or 3 very good saves, Stevie hit the bar and Rob should have scored in the second half. If you're going to go on about missed chances, include all of them, yeah?

Exactly, playing poorly and winning is certainly better than playing badly and losing, which has been the norm for us for to long. Hughes is slowly turning the ship round. It just so happens its the size of the QE2 and will take longer than alot of people think. he needs time and i for one hope to god he is here for a long time. He is stabilizing us. Something that no manager has managed in over a decade.

By their posts you shall know them

We didnt even play so poorly against a team that always defends first. 55% possesion and around 17 shots isnt bad in a Premiership game

correct me if i'm wrong, but wasn't it De Jong who set up Bellamy for the goal?

....what a shitty use of a second dm :)

Also Zab was getting forward at every opportunity.

And the fullbacks were bombing forward (which set up our first goal agaionst Newcastle).

Actually our two DM's were involved in Bellamy's goal against newcastle aswell.

[sarcasm]Stupid system, HUGHES OUT!!![/sarcasm]

The problem is he says before EVERY match nowadays and then just fucks off, like most of the anti Hughes lot he has got nothing positive to say, hence when we win he disappears, the anti Hughes lot better get used to him because I have a feeling that he will be OUR MANAGER for a few seasons to come, the changes he has made to the club are huge and will take time to come into effect

So what if he says it before every match. It's his opinion.

And expressing opinions (whether they are popular or not) is what message boards like this are all about (or should be).

But is this not a forum to debate on ?

If everybody just posted their opinions and knowbody replied it would be a very boring site, would it not?

Besides he hasnt come back and re-itterated his points, which is a bit strange dont you think?

moomba, the voice of balance and reason. The man who has torn up his season ticket now Bellamy has signed.

No problem with debate, I even put my own oar in on the first page. It's the people that get all hysterical about the "hysteria" when all the OP did was post an opinion.
