Hughes to joke city

Stoke's entire squad is built around a particular way of playing, the Pulis way. It's clear that Coates doesn't want that from Stoke anymore, he wants a change in the way they play, probably to a more attractive style.

The issue he'll have is that Pulis' way was dull, methodical, anti-football, but defensively it was pretty sound. Hughes has always struggled to master the defensive side of things so, whilst Stoke may well play a better brand of football in the opposition's half, they'll be shipping far more goals in their own half.

The other issue is that Stoke is a team filled with big, strong footballers, but seriously lacking in skill, inventiveness, or attacking flair. Look at their front line, Crouch, Jones, Jerome and Walters. No pace, no movement, no real skill between them. Hughes will need to revamp the squad entirely and, as has been proven time and time again, he'll be very hit and miss at doing this successfully.

Garcia will surprise a couple of doubters next season. He isn't a bad player at all.
Clarkie right??

Nope.

Pellegrini worked magic with Santa Cruz so why not Garcia even Scott Sinclair might get a look in now rather than being chief lucazade carrier.
