His teams are always better in the second half of the season, don't you know...

Is that when he gets sacked before Christmas they improve?

That tickled me!

In all seriousness, why have stoke (a mid table steady every year) team decided to hire a manager who's got a good record of fucking things up and getting teams into a relegation battle?

To me stoke have taken 2 steps backwards and will really really struggle next year, and they won't be the team that were hard to go and play at like they have been in the past few years..

The sky reporter at the press conference blew so much smoke up his arse it was untrue.

How the fuck has this no mark become known as a football success story when is record is average at best and with his QPR tenure, a downright fuck up!
It is not without some irony that the press' indignation at his dismissal from City led to a number of discourteous and disrespectful questions being asked by the hyenas of Mancini's at his first press conference (in spite of his much more impressive CV than Hughes at that point) which have not been repeated when Hughes replaces Pulis, a decision at least open to debate, especially in light of Hughes' shambolic performance in his last job, which had such disastrous and enduring consequences for QPR.

Hughes has a lot of questions to answer. It's just a shame that our disgraceful media are incapable or unwilling to put them in anything other than a diffident and apologetic fashion.

It puzzles me how much people here hate Hughes. I mean what has he done so bad to us ?

Also in his defense, he had a great spell at Blackburn, getting them to 6th position in 2006 or something.

He also had a great spell at Fulham. Plus I won't call his spell with us a disaster.

So yeah I don't understand why people here or even around hate him so much.

Can we start a list?

Roque Santa Cruz, £17.5m, £90,000/week.

Yeah start a list.

You're telling me that you absolutely hate a manager because he might have overspent on a player!? How many managers have not over spent on a player. So if you hate him so much for bad signings, what will you do with a manger that relegates the team? Kill him?

That was just the start of the list. Mark Hughes paid that money for RSC and handed him that contract without the player undergoing a medical. He was a crock and nothing justified Hughes' decision.

Hughes does not have the ability to instill backbone into his teams. QPR only stayed up at the end of the previous season because of results elsewhere going in their favour.

He cannot organise a back four.

His net spend at MCFC was £201m in which time we won nothing.

He spent £18m last summer at QPR and was sacked before Christmas with QPR at the foot of the table.

He walked out on Fulham the previous season thinking he'd get the job at Villa. So his loyalty has to be questioned.

Mark Hughes will not progress SCFC any further than Pulis has. They may score more goals, but they will also concede more.

He took us into relegation trouble in Dec 2008 after 2 wins in 12 league games, and should have been sacked after we lost at West Brom just before christmas.

We did improve in the spring, finishing 10th, 16 points above relegation, but not before a humiliating home defeat by Nottingham Forest in the 3rd round of the FA Cup, and we won just 2 away games all season.

We're still getting rid of the deadwood he brought here, some 4 years later.

Not all his fault, his backroom staff are worse, and I see he's bringing them all with him.

With Hughes it's not so much the money he spends on transfers, as much as the gutless players he signs, with the long contracts and wages that the club he manages are left with the legacy of, long after he has ridden off into the sunset with his severance pay.

Leslie, the biggest charlatan in football management, lands another job worth millions to him. Hats off to Kia Joorabchian for making a sucker out of another club owner.
