Hughes: We are not in a relegation battle.

FFS get a grip. If we had gone there with a full team, Petrov, Boj, Johno, Robbie, etc. Then yes it would of been a bad result, as it was when I saw the team I thought we were gonna struggle.

Petrov is over rated you know it and so do I. He never wins 50/50 bals and his defending and general passing is awful. Boj may never recover from his injuries I am sad to say. Johno well talk about an over-rated player. The new Colin Bell my arse. Was a time when he showed potential but his ego is far too big in my opinion. Robbie would have been no good at Fulham as a fast physical game is not what he is about. Sorry to shot you down but you need a reality check.

Petrov is not over-rated. He is class. Our best player last season by a mile. Of course if you judge a winger by his defensive abilities then you will think he is over-rated.

As for Johno. Hasnt Ireland's rise taught you anything? Johno has even more potential than Stevie has.

Instead of starting a new thread. Id like to know what our opinions are now.

Has lesley admitted we are in a relegation battle yet??

How much longer will this go on?

Next sundays game could see us playing in a 6 pointer against West fucking Brom!!!

Both teams will be in the bottom 3.

If we dont beat them Hughes has to go.

If we do, lets face it, its a smokescreen. west Brom are poor at best. All it will do is cover the cracks and give Les another week to do more damage.

Seems the Hughes backers have all gone quiet now he's dragged us into the relegation places.

Well there has been a hell of a wind of change on here with over 35% of people changing their minds judging by the Hughes out poll.

It's ironic that we worried about getting into Europe so much last season and now Thursday's [apparently untelevised] game seems almost irrelevant [with apologies to all those making the trip, fair play to you].

If we do not win one of the next two games then there will be serious problems for MH, not least because of the trip to Blackburn on the 28th merely emphasising his lack of pedigree [Wales job part, altohugh they didn't qualify, did they?].

Forget the special one [for now], it's time for a 'second half of season' specialist, although MH maintains that he is. We shall see soon enough.

Looking at it purely on a points basis yes we are in a relagation battle. The advantage we have is we've got January to spend tens of millions on strengthening the side, which every other side won't have. If the end of January arrives and we're still struggling AND we haven't signed several top players then I'll be more concerned. Now I'm just concerned that Hughes isn't capable of getting better performances from what he's currently got because, lets face it, there should be at least 10 sides in the Prem with a worse lineup than us, not 3.

ive not changed my mind

to sack him now would be pointless

he will come good...give him a chance and forget the utd links...if it wasnt for that a lot more people would have a lot more patience.....i even heard it at teh game...its pathetic. while i can understand the frustration with the way we are playing (and im as frustrated as anyone) he needs ime to get it right...we might be down near the bottom but the league is so so close at the moment that two wins takes you into the top half of the league......

no need to panick...........yet!!!!!!!!!!

i have been hearing the one win takes us into the top half argument for 2 months now. It has now become 2 wins and thats without the teams above us picking up points. Believe me I want to see us pick up those wins.

I have never called hughes a Rag. Im just very concerned with what he is doing right now.

Im concerned as well but i can understand the problems MH is having......it si about the balance of the team plus some unlucky injuries and drop of form of certain players...most nteably dunne and richards and the failure as yet of Jo to adapt to the prem.

he signs are there that we can come good....as i posted in another thread...in the games we have lost, i think only utd and chelski have outclassed us. yes we were poor in other games like everton but the other teams were no better than us...bnut its small individual errors coupled with the inaffective striker force of either benjani or Jo that is a major problem
