Hulk

Hulk 5 Benfica 0

okay, he didn't score five, but he absolutely murdered them down the right.

rather worryingly, two goals came from him eating one of our defensive targets alive. just to prove it wasn't all David Luiz's fault, Portugese international left-back-by-trade Coentrao took over, with a defensive left midfielder infront of him.....and was devoured just as mercilessly.

Still not quite convinced on Hulk tho.

he got banned for the majority of last season for attacking a steward with his boot or something like that. so him and balo would be a lot to handle.

he is strong - thats why they call him hulk. so i would take him because we defiantly need more strikers.

Not bad, looks like he can double on the wings as well. I would have him as an alternative in the window.

Not only is he young, extremely talented, and all around badass, think about how cool his kit would be.....

So fucking epic to have a ManCity HULK shirt.

Manchester City are ready to offer £20million for Porto’s Hulk – to ease the burden on Carlos Tevez.

Hulk, real name Givanildo Vieira de Souza, caught City boss Roberto Mancini’s eye with 16 goals in as many games to help Porto to a commanding 10-point lead in the Portuguese league.

Top 10 things you need to know about Manchester City target Hulk

Although Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko was top of Mancini’s shopping list, City were put off by the £50m fee demanded by the Germans for their star hitman.

That has seen Mancini switch his attention to Hulk, who has two Brazil caps, and who earned his nickname for his supposed resemblance to actor Lou Ferrigno, who played the Incredible Hulk in the TV series.

Mancini has lost faith in Emmanuel Adebayor, who is desperate to leave City for Juventus, while Brazilian forward Jo is not considered good enough and Roque Santa Cruz has been told he can find a new club.

City sources have indicated there will not be any major transfer activity in January, but a striker is a priority for Mancini, following his admission that they are reliant on Tevez for goals.

And Hulk’s agent, Teodoro Fonseca, is known to be keen on securing a move to the Premier League for his client.

LOL Hulk instead of Dzeko.

I honestly think we are being used as a make weight to up his price.

Whilst he is a good striker, I think with where we are aiming to be, we'd be looking at better strikers like Dzeko.

I think Hulk could be a very astute signature. He is 24 which fits with our policy of buying good players who are hungry and can improve yet are ready to go into the team. I'd love Dzeko to come but not for silly money and I struggle to see how he will fit into our system at the minute. Hulk is a player who 'may' be happier to rotate in and out of the team. He is quick, skilful, powerful, he can fill in the Tevez role to give Carlos a rest or cover injury (god forbid) but he also able to play as the left/right striker Balo?Silva role if needed. For these reasons I can really see this move happening and believe he could be a huge success here.
