for those asking why he goes to zenith simple!!!!!! no other club ( big one ) wanted him or let say considred to pay his transfer+wages fees

as he already stated he wanted to move to chelsea

so what can he do ? stay at porto who want to sell him ?

maybe he tought he was a real hulk but at the end of the day he is going to play in Russia :)

its not because the press links player to every club it means that these clubs wants really to buy them
 
Why are the Russians paying over the odds? with the transfer window shut for most countries they don't have any real competition for these players.
 
Perhaps they didn't pay the massive sum? It is in the player and the clubs best nature to suggest they both paid handsome fees and received wages to boost the rep of them both.

Signing Hulk is a signal to the world that they are ready to play ball with the likes of Real Madrid/Barca/Bayern... In the same way we leaked our numbers to the press for Robinhi they are doing the same. Perhaps adding a bit including agent fees and such.
 
They paid 40m for Witsel, who was bought just a year ago by Benfica for 6m. Madness.
 
prices in football these days are silly... its making me slowly fall out of the love for the game..

prices requested for Messi and Ronaldo for example are obscene... its a person who can choose whether to perform or not on the day. players these days are so tempermental too so you never do know.. asking so much for a player seems stupid!
